For the last ten years, my husband Jay and I have been camping along the shore in Bar Harbor Maine at the Bar Harbor KOA.  People often ask us why we keep going back, the same spot the same time frame every year and my only answer is ...we love it here! We enjoy 10 days in Bar Harbor every August and camp on Western Bay which gives us awesome sunset views and allows us to do the things we enjoy.  Biking, kayaking,swimming and just enjoying! Love the lifestyle, love being near the coast and close enough to take day trips to the glorious while mountains of New Hampshire.  Our passion during our "off" time is to jump into our motor home and camp somewhere for a few days. Being virtual agents and connected 24-7 via our mobile devices means we work long hours but that also means we can work from anywhere. At mid-tide, you will usually find Thunder Hole at it's loudest, when the waves rush into an ocean-carved pocket in the stone. This is a typical event. She will outline new laws and what is in committee at the Maine legislature that affects the economy, the state real estate industry. The hurry scurry to get to an annual Maine real estate REALTORS convention meeting. Every year the same two step dosey doe getting the office set up for a few days at meetings. Cauterizing loose ends, remember to do this, this and this. Luckily I have had an assistant for nineteen years that is like Radar on the MASH television series. Robin just knows. Remind Andy to do this, don't forget to do that. And then that. With androids, laps tops it is a seamless transition. Sure, tethered by wireless devices while in a continuing education class. Cattle prodded to call these three numbers during the lunch break. And did I set up for the day back the showing on this place, the closing on that property? The crisp Maine fall air, the colors of foliage in the peak as REALTORS from around the state called "Vacationland" trek to Bar Harbor ME, Hancock County. This year's 2010 Maine State REALTOR's Convention will be educational, informative, fun too. The day long seminar with meetings for continuing education real estate licensing requirements all in a three day swoop are worth the price of admission alone. But the most education comes from the round table discussions at the lunches, dinners. Networking with agents around Maine, and comparing notes on what works, what does not. Even before moving to the Maine coast near Mount Desert Island, my wife and kids and I had already begun exploring the enchanting carriage Trails of Acadia National Park.  Even ten years after moving to the area and finding all the other great places to ride, we still return to the park regularly.  It's there for everyone to enjoy and we never tire of it.  See our photos below and check out the Park's own website     01/29/2010

Ever have one of those days where no matter what you do it comes out wrong? No matter what you do you can't get warm?I know we all have those days and I know that tomorrow will be better. It always is...but in the meantime I do what I usually do... to find comfort.I look through my picture folder and relive those memories. And tonight I found a little video clip that I shot during our vacation in Bar Harbor Maine last August. We vacation in Bar Harbor every August and stay at the same campground on the same camp site at the waters edge.Our site sits on Western Bay and we are protected by a dotting of islands that buffer us from the open ocean. We camp with a group of good friends and it is something that I really look forward to every year. I'm counting the days till we go again!Tonight... 05/03/2008

Living in New Hampshire offers many fine outdoor activities. Camping is just one of them. This is a 2nd in my camping series. I'd like to take you to places where Jay and I camp and know well. As many of you know, Jay and I take a yearly trek to Bar Harbor Maine. Bar Harbor is a 5 hour car ride from our home in Hampstead New Hampshire and those 5 hours are well worth it! We’re campers and camp in our 40 foot motor home. I hate to call it camping as my motor home really has all the comforts of home and then some. From tile floors, Corian counters, washer and dryer to my awesome stereo and Satellite TV…it’s very comfortable camping to us. We started camping in a tent and then decided we were getting too old to be on the ground, so about 5 years ago we bought our first Class A motor home. ... 09/01/2007

Bar Harbor is Mount Desert Island’s largest vacation destination and home to Acadia National Park it is rich in history as well as rich in gorgeous views. Bar Harbor was a premier summer resort in the 19th century and home to some of America’s most powerful families—the Rockefellers, Ford, Vanderbilt, Carnegie, Astor and Morgan families. Thousands of people visit Bar Harbor annually and we spend a week there every August. Acadia National Park is just breathtaking and is home to 1,532-foot Cadillac Mountain whose summit is the first place in the United States where the sunrise can be seen.   The sunsets on Cadillac are to die for as well...the views of Frenchman's Bay as the sun is setting is something to marvel at.
