Villagio Cafe - Baltimore, MD My friend, Dawn, and I were looking for a new place to try for lunch and my hairdresser, Mitra from Aqua Salon, recommended Villagio Cafe.  I have always loved ethnic foods, I like to try new flavors and new tastes and one of my favorites is Persian style food.   So, today we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. Baltimore Heritage Quilters Quilt Expo 2015 Baltimore Heritage Quilters meet monthly on the second Tuesday of each month at 6pm for fellowship and the meeting starts at 7pm.  We meet at the Woodbrook Baptist Church on Stevenson Lane in Towson.  There is a lively membership with many mini groups that meet and encourage each other outside of the regular meetings.   This year we are having our Quilt Expo, hosted at Goucher College, 1021 Dulaney Valley Road, Towson, MD on March 14 and 15 from 10 am to 5pm.  Admission is $8 at the door, you can purchase advance tickets for $7 and groups of 5 or more in advance tickets for $6 each.   This year our featured quilters are Rebecca Ludwig, a very talented contemporary quilter and Clara Murphy a very talented, award winning traditional quilter.  Th... 01/08/2015

Burger Bros - Baltimore's Best Burger We hadn't even intended on having a burger.  We were going to Towson Hot Bagels but when we got there, there was a sign on the door that they were closed at 3pm today (normally they are open until 5pm).  I had my heart set on one of their bagels (Baltimore's best bagel).  So, we stumbled into Burger Bros next door at 14 Allegheny Avenue in Towson instead.  They were right next door and the restaurant look inviting enough and looked clean.  We had an hour to wait until we could pick up my son from school and I was hungry.   We weren't sure what to expect, the restaurant was empty and it was freezing cold (inside as well as outside). Towson Visitors In For a Shock When Paying for Parking I met a client in Towson this morning for breakfast.  I took $1.00 out of my wallet and paid for my parking and put the ticket on the dash of my car and went in to the restaurant.  We were a little late coming out of the restaurant (5 minutes) and as I walked up to my car in the parking lot I was met by a parking enforcement officer at my car writing, what I thought was a ticket.  I got off with a warning today but he told me that the price of parking has gone up in Towson.  On July 1, visitors will now pay $2.00 an hour to park in Towson.  It used to be $1.00.  So,make sure you have extra change in your car or be prepared to pay the $4.00 maximum for 2 hours of parking in Towson with your credit card.  07/02/2014

Yes, we are STILL anxiously awaiting Spring in Baltimore. TUESDAY (yes, March 25) brought us MORE SNOW (but luckily, it wasn't 8+" like last week -3/17 - where I wrote about it in my first post of dreaming of spring in Baltimore. It stuck mostly to the grass, foliage and houses, and only a dusting remained in the streets. WEDNESDAY brought us BITTER COLD winds where I needed gloves or my hands were freezing. Today is WARM in comparision -- as I write this, it is a whopping 37 degrees at 11:30am! (But the wind makes it feel colder!) I am looking forward tomorrow where we are hopefully hitting 57 degrees, with rain and wind, but at least it shouldn't be a cold rain!
