So, here we go with the second in the series, the second town is Hampstead. Hampstead is a town in Carroll County. It was originally known as the village of Spring Garden and it was a stop on the stage line between Fort Garrison in Baltimore County and Conewago (now Hanover, Pennsylvania) it later changed its name to Hampstead after the town in England, the first European settlers to the area were English immigrants.Hampstead is a very small town, in 2010 the US Census estimated its population at 6,323 people.
