Hosting an open house isn’t just about unlocking the door—it’s about creating an experience that makes buyers say “Wow!” From the moment they step inside, you want them to feel that this could be their next home. Whether you’re selling in Catonsville, Ellicott City, or anywhere in Howard County, the goal is the same: make every visitor fall in love at first sight.🌸 1. Set the Stage (Literally!)Home staging is your secret weapon. Arrange furniture to highlight the home’s best features—maybe it’s that bright sunroom, charming brick fireplace, or open-concept kitchen. Add fresh pillows, neutral décor, and soft throws to make it feel warm and welcoming. A little staging magic goes a long way toward helping buyers picture themselves living there.💐 2. How to stay safe on Halloween  Halloween: the one night we encourage our offspring to approach strangers for candy. If you want to keep your kids safe while they reenact every parent’s worst safety lecture, here are some rules that actually work:  1. Visibility is survival.Dark costumes are basically camouflage for disaster. Stick reflective tape or glow sticks on them, or better yet, make them carry a flashlight. A stylish one, if they must.2. Masks off, faces free.Half the time kids can’t see through those plastic masks. Makeup is better—it’s breathable, doesn’t fog, and you can still tell who you’re yelling at.3. Sidewalks only, not shortcuts.Cutting through lawns, alleys, or driveways is an express route to twisted ankles and car bumpers. Use sidewalks and cross at corners like civi...

EPIK "Trick or Treat" Fundraiser in Catonsville. It's yet another event hosted by EPIK Home Group of Keller Williams in the Catonsville area. Currently we host 8 events annually in our little town. This one is a local favorite. It's free to participate but each family is asked to bring a donation for either the Children's Home or the Westside Men's Shelter to participate. Kids get to dress up in their Halloween costume and promenade along the main commercial area of downtown Catonsville. Many of the stores, restaurants and businesses hand out candy and treats. It is a wonderful way to have fun in the community and benefit our local non profit organizations. Most agents are not this deep in their community, but we love to create fun events to benefit many.

Catonsville, Maryland: From Summer Retreat to Proud “Music City” USACatonsville, Maryland isn’t just another Baltimore suburb — it’s a town built on legacy. Ask a dozen locals what defines it and you’ll get a dozen different answers: the music scene, the streetcar history, the Benjamin Banneker legacy, Rolling Road, the 4th of July Parade. The truth is, Catonsville is all of those things layered together. To understand why so many people stay rooted here for generations — and why others go out of their way to move here — you have to go back to the beginning.A Summer Paradise for Baltimore’s EliteCatonsville’s story begins in 1787, when Charles Carroll of Carrollton — the last surviving signer of the Declaration of Independence — gifted a large stretch of land to his daughter Mary and her...

For over 6 years EPIK Home Group of Keller Williams have sent out a monthly LOCAL newsletter for the residents of Catonsville. We search out all the community events for the upcoming month and compile them in one place. Even though we are a local Real Estate team, we actually organize, host and execute MANY local events that are either fundraisers or support local non-profits, so we feature our own events at the top. At the bottom of the newsletter we add a quick market update. And now, as we have become a community resource, people actually reach out to us because they want their events included. We have become a central hub for everything going on, and we’re not tied to any specific group or organization—so we just feature everybody’s events. This month we have a ton of events in the 21...
