Sunday Shot - Mother Nature's TrickIn Maryland, spring is threatening.  Mother nature is fickle and the weather changes every day.  Yesterday it was 30 degrees and snowing, Thursday it was 71 degrees, and today it is 54 degrees and sunny and the daffodils are in full bloom on the Short Line Trail in Catonsville. I took the opportunity to take a nice long walk with a good friend of mine and Sadie, we walked a portion of the Short Line Trail and through my neighborhood, we walked just shy of 3 miles.  It's nice to have a walking buddy!!Sadie loves walks and meeting new friends!!

National Coffee Day 09/29/2022 I don't know about you but I can't start my day off without at least one cup of coffee. I love Tim Horton's coffee and brought some home with me when I went to visit my family last month.   I also, love the coffee at Atwater's in Catonsville on Frederick and also Caffe di Roma in Catonsville on Edmondson just east of Rolling Road. I'll get coffee in the drive-thru at Dunkin Donuts when I am in a rush, however, I am not a huge fan of Starbucks, and to me, the coffee tastes bitter.  Where is your favorite coffee?  If you have the Dunkin Donuts app on your smartphone you'll get a free cup of coffee today!!  Enjoy!!

National Tire & Battery in Catonsville, MDAs a woman, I am used to national chain mechanical service companies trying to take advantage and rake me over the coals for products and services I don't need and they think because I'm a woman I don't know what I need and don't need. NTB in Catonsville is a breath of fresh air and they treat every woman that goes in there with respect and fairness. NTB doesn't just do tires and batteries either.  I have been to this location twice.  The first time the leads on the battery in my son's car had come loose, two other places told me I needed to have them replaced and the bolts couldn't be tightened.  Andrew came out, took a look, and came back with a socket, tightened them, and sent me on my way, no charge.  Last week I drove over a bolt on my stre...

Catonsville July 4th Celebrations and ParadeWe love living in Catonsville.  It's close enough to everything and has loads of amenities and still maintains that small-town feeling.  And, nothing says small-town more than great 4th of July celebrations. The Catonsville 4th July planning committee outdoes themselves every year and 2022 is no different.  All-day, starting with the 8th annual bike ride to Ft. McHenry at 8:30 leaving from Atwater's Bakery,   815 Frederick Rd, and culminating with a Mammoth Fireworks Show at 9:15 at Catonsville High School.  You will already see that residents have staked a claim to seating along Frederick Rd with all the chairs lining the street (including a sofa in front of the elementary school) to watch the 76th annual Grand Parade.  The parade this year fe...
