Those of us who sell Plymouth MA real estate have news this week of the long running plan to bring a $550 million movie studio complex to Plymouth.  I seem to be hearing a final bell as I read stories from Christine Legere of the Boston Globe and another from The Patriot Ledger.  It would have been a tremendous opportunity for the South Shore in terms of jobs, tourism and real estate. The project begun in 2007/8 has lost all but one executive in Scituate resident Joe DiLorenzo now working from his home office.  Gone are the Hollywood executives David Kirkparick, Earl Lestz and Thom Black, Kirkpatrick supposedly bowed out due to negative publicity over unsuccessful past financial projects.  And even the local developer Bill Wynne, who was to secure the site for the project at Waverly Oak... 12/14/2011

Real estate bargains are absolutely to be found in Cedarville MA, just south of Plymouth MA near Cape Cod.  It is surrounded by kettle ponds and close to ocean beaches. The only good thing about a hurricane is that it eventually passes. Here in The Pinehills, we were fortunate not to suffer any major consequences from Irene. She chose a path further to our west and we were spared most of the heavy rainfall and damaging winds. There was very little damage in Winslowe's View and Rebecca's Landing, and we lost power for a day and a half. Thankfully, Irene was an inconvenience, not much more. Me personally, I have a few trees that need to be removed and this one is going to be a little tricky. Not sure how we are going to remove this without damaging the dog kennel. Luckily no damage to family, pets, home, cars or boat. Phew! We are now experiencing the most amazing weather conditions. It has been an eventful few weeks for The Green Company at The Pinehills. We recently had our 3rd Annual Rebecca's Landing Clambake at The Pinehills. The weather was delightful, and the food was delicious! The following weekend, we had our annual homeowners barbecue at Winslowe's View. The theme for this event was Karaoke.
