First up were the Boston Red Sox! Boston Red Sox 12, Baltimore Orioles 1 The Red Sox went over .500 for the first time since the first game of the season, completing a four-game sweep of the Orioles. David Ortiz "Big Papi"drove in two runs. Second game of the day, The Boston Celtics vs. Chicago Bulls C's 118, Bulls 115.  Ray Allen drained a three-pointer with two seconds left in regulation to give the Celtics the win in Game 2. April 20, 2008! A great day to be in Boston. The Red Sox are playing their annual Marathon day 11 AM game. This year they are playing against the Baltimore Orioles. The Red Sox are looking to sweep this series against the Orioles. Then at 12 noon is the 113th annual Boston Marathon.   Finally tonight at 7 the Boston Celtics look to take game 2 after they were stunned. "Shocked" is a good word to describe the feeling around Boston after Saturd ay afternoon's Game 1 loss in overtime to the Chicago Bulls. The defending champion Boston Celtics were supposed to take Game 1 in a wash, but that was far from the case. The New Stimulus Bill enacted recently delivers first time buyers as follows... "The bill provides for a $8,000 tax credit that would be available to first-time home buyers for the purchase of a principal residence on or after January 1, 2009 and before December 1, 2009.  The credit does not require repayment.  Most of the mechanics of the credit will be the same as under the 2008 rules:  the credit will be claimed on a tax return to reduce the purchaser's income tax liability.  If any credit amount remains unused, then the unused amount will be refunded as a check to the purchaser". Note: There is a recapture if you sell your home within 3 years, at which the credit will be recaptured upon the sale.
