Today it is a must see place and it runs from Elysian Fields to Canal Street with plenty of access fromt he French Quarter.        This first photo is of the setting sun in the early evening. We are looking east but it is the West Bank of New Orleans. The name Crescent City means the Mississippi is making a big curve on its way to the Guld of Mexico.    Sunrise on the Mississippi looking down river to the Bywater Neighborhood from the River Walk Looking at the West Babk of...

French Quarter Condos                                           New Orleans, La. 70116        The French Quarter is going to have a large variety of condos that will vary in size, style and age. This page will give you a variety and feel for many of the condos that I see. I will be adding to this page going forward since there are so many small associations.        The vast majority of condos in the French Quarter will be used as second homes.  From the map below you can see that the Quarter is just not that large but there are a lot of properties as we review the condo associations.       Most of the condo associations are small complexes of eight or less. Many will have small courtyards which cannot be seen from the street. Parking will not come with the majority of condos.         T...

Hanging Ferns, Balconies and Gallery’s make the New Orleans French Quarter a more livable and beautiful place to visit. Eric You can say many things that makes the New Orleans French Quarter different from other places. One that is easy to spot is the colorful plants and ferns that people use to decorate these historic buildings. It takes time and energy to create these living works for art. Anyone could be a postcard…..

Andrew Jackson, gives you a couple of different looks....  Eric             Andrew Jackson can look really different depending on the angles, weather and time of day.  Most likely one of the most photographed statues in the French Quarter of New Orleans.  Here he is morning, noon and foggy.

The value of the Views !! Views Matter in the New Orleans Condo Market ? November 10th, 2010 Categories: Condo Knowledge, Selling your Condo       The value of Condo views in New Orleans condo market  may not be determined by some math equation or could it be found !  The value of the views is what someone will be willing to pay for what is considered a big plus in any condo complex.  In many complexes that sell from a developer you can see what units sell first and which ones sell last.  Simple:   Better views generally sell first !      Many of the developers will  sell on square footage rather than location within the complex.  Early buyers get the prizes and end up with the higher prices when they go to sell their condo.  Some developers will sell the best views for more as they kno...

Ferns and French Quarter Balconies, Semi-Tropical Weather makes it all possible.           The balconies in the New Orleans French Quarter that adorn the historic buildings are also a showcase for those with a green thumb.  A balcony is a porch to the world to show their skills.  This is made possible by plenty of moisture through our humidity and frequent showers.  Freezes are rare occurrences and the sunshine is plentiful.  The growing season is long with the best weather being October to May.  The Mississippi Delta soil is rich in organic materials.  The only rocks that we have are imported from other states and countries.

French Quarter Window Shopping! Its just not the same old things!       Window shopping in the French Quarter is another one of the free things that you can enjoy in New Orleans.  The shops are unique as are the shop keepers.   Even if you do not buy you can have a lot of fun in the Crescent City.

A lot of people do live in the New Orleans French Quarter in the present. It was the origional city of New Orleans in the early 1700s as an outpost in the New World as a Spanish and French outpost. Most of the residents live in condos that are of course very old. Parking is hard to find but people enjoy walking and seeing other folks. The French Quarter has it characters all packed into a small space. Many people buy second homes in the area to enjoy or have friends use them. Katrina has made many think about living here, but its been almost 300 years with out a flood. I do not think this area of town has ever flooded even before the Mississippi River Levees were built in the 1920s.I was trying to cut the photos down, crop them so I could get a feel for the quarter in strips. its an arts...
