Ascension Parish Real Estate - Eagles Landing Update The new Eagles Landing subdivision located off of Hwy 42 and Joe Sevario Rd. is progressing nicely. As you can see from the photos below, underground utilities and road beds are being installed and constructed now. The subdivision will feature two lakes, walking trails and a park. There is a new subdivision being developed in Ascension Parish called Eagles Landing.  It is located on Hwy 42 at the intersection with Joe Sevario Road.  The subdivision is planned to have 234 building lots to be created in three phases.  The restrictions call for homes with a minimum of 2100 sq.ft. of living area.  The subdivision will contain two lakes, each over 9 acres.To date, the land has been cleared and fill moved but the lakes have not yet been dug as the photo to the right shows.  There are still some builder packages available.  If you'd like more information please give me a call at (225) 413-3624 or send e-mail to info@liveascension.com.  I'm in the process of creating a website for this new development with more information.

For Sunday lunch, Amy and I ate with friends at Gio's Mezza Luna Italian Restaurant in Prairieville, Louisiana.  After being immediately seated, each of us was brought ice water and our drink orders were taken.  Our waiter, John, was very personable and brought our drinks quickly.  While we looked over the menu, he brought a plate of bruschetta for the table.  It was quite good.  We decided on a Caesar Salad for an appetizer, and ordered it with extra dressing.  Before we finished off the bruschetta, John brought some bread which was great dipped into my own mixture of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.  Our waiter split our salad onto two plates without my even asking and topped it with freshly grated parmesan cheese.  It was wonderful.  The entrées were pricier than I expe...

                                                Griffins VS Bears  Dutchtown High School played Catholic High on their field in Baton Rouge, La Friday night and what a game it was!  We had lots and lots of fans who came out to support the Griffins and the team did great.  My son, Tim Harp #86, sacked the quarterback twice in the game!  Dutchtown's Kevin Saia was awesome against Catholic High and Lacy was great as usual.  We actually beat ourselves with all the penalties we had in this game.  Every time we had a drive going, it would be squashed with a penalty.  Overall, I think the boys at Dutchtown High did great.  We have a big rivalry game against East Ascension High School this Friday and I'm sure our boys are going to be pumped up to play!                                           ...
