I could get to work at 8 a.m., stay til 5 p.m., and have no idea what the weather has been like outside. Slow-Cooked Chicken Stroganoff Chicken, mushrooms, and sour cream combine in the slow cooker to create this classic comfort food. Servings: 6 to 8 Prep: 20 minutes Slow Cook 6 hrs to 7 hrs (low) or 3 to 3-1/2 hours (high) Ingredients 2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves and/or thighs 1 cup chopped onion 2 10 3/4 ounce can condensed cream of mushroom soup with roasted garlic 1/3 cup water 12 ounces dried wide egg noodles 8 ounces sour cream Freshly ground black pepper (optional) Preperation 1.   Carnival Season in New Orleans officially ended at midnight last night on Bourbon Street with the traditional ceremonial clearing led by NOPD superintendent Ronal Serpas and Mayor Mitch Landrieu.
