Love the Balconies and Galleries Love the Hanging Plants        The balconies and Galleries in the French Quarter are very hard to duplicate any where else in the world. These owners are often condo associations that plant and hang ferns and other plants on the balconies.           The Galleries have more plants as they have support from the ground and may have several levels in which to show off the hanging plants. The City of New Orleans should give all these owners a discount on their taxes for making the area so vibrant and colorful. 05/14/2022

 Most people that come to New Orleans to visit always come back.  Staying in the hotels in the French Quarter can be fun for a vacation.  However, some people that visit the New Orleans area have decided to buy a second home in this area. The Bywater Neighborhood of New Orleans Historic and Colorful Bywater Homes     The Bywater Neighborhood runs along the Mississippi River From the railroad tracks on Press Street to the Industrial Canal. The St. Claude Avenue to the Mississippi River is the other boundary. When I was in high school the area was known as the Upper Ninth Ward. The local telephone exchange was known as Bwater and was changed to the Bywater.        The area has become to be a home for many artistic people.  The French Quarter Fest opened on April 6, 2017. There is a large variety of stages throughout the French Quarter with lots of local musicians and bands. Lots of Food, Drinks and Music filled the air on opening day. One of the many reasons people like to come to NOLA. This is a winner for the second home market.       The weather was great. The crowds were large. Benny Grunch and the bunch are all about "aint there no more". So many memories of New Olreans over the years.
