In case you are not aware (and judging from the parking lot this evening, you aren't) Lowes has opened in Shepherdsville.  The new location is on the Adam Shephard bypass.  I, for one, am particularly excited as getting to this new location requires driving about 5 miles less and avoiding at least 10 less redlights on Preston Highway.   In general, the new location is setup the same as almost any other Lowes.  However, the tool department is more streamlined.  Also, I noticed a virtual color system in the paint department.  This allows you to select a room and then see what it would look as you vary the shades of paint.  Of course, it will look different on your walls, but it was still a nice tool to play with.    If you need building, remodeling or gardening materials, make sure that y...

The Pointe features a good variety of all-brick homes ranging from $160k-$250K.  Houses range in size from 1500 sq ft to over 3000 sq ft and lots range from 0.25 acres to 0.75 acres.  The oldest properties in the neighborhood are 10 years old and building lots are still available. With over 200 homes, this is a fairly large subdivision for Shepherdsville.  However, the winding streets and multiple courts give it a small, comfortable feel.
