    Proposed Apartment Building south of Chauncey Square in West Lafayette by Purdue University.   There may be more new apartments for incoming Purdue University students in the Fall of 2015 if a plan to develop a new apartment complex between Salisbury and Littleton Streets is approved by Area Plan and the West Lafayette City Council later this summer.  The developer is planning a 46 unit apartment building with a combination of one, three, and four bedroom apartments for a total of 75 bedrooms.  Parking space is always a key issue when gaining final approval by Area Plan and the West Lafayette City Council. Purdue University expansion into West Lafayette neighborhood causes concern among residents.     Purdue University's plans to expand across Northwestern Avenue into West Lafayette residential housing has met with some concern with New Chauncey residents in West Lafayette. Northwestern Avenue has  been the unofficial de facto dividing line between Purdue University buildings(with the exception of a parking garage) and the residential neighborhoods of West Lafayette.
