Glencoe Illinois is a small village with a population of only 8,723 in Cook County and just north of Winnetka which is bordering on Kenilworth and that village is bordering on Wilmette which ends up south in Evanston IL.   Glencoe Home Sales and Market Report for Year to Date 2013 As a homeseller in Glencoe, it's not been a bad year.  Total sales were up slightly, but home prices remained completely static.   There was pent up buyer demand from several years of a drought real estate market and that will continue for a while Sales were quick with many homes having at least two offers, some with many more. Glencoe Home Sales and Market Report for June 2013 There were 13 sales in Glencoe in June - .   Average List Price:  $1,546,700 Average Sell Price:  $1,416,300 List Price to Sell Price Ratio:  81% if you use the original list price, 92% if you use the reduced price.   Currently For Sale in Glencoe:  60  Lowest Price: $499,000 Highest Price:  $6,950,000   Under Contract:  46 Glencoe's sales are not as robust as its neighbors, just 13 closed home sales in June while there were 21 in June of 2012.  Glencoe has much to offer including proximity to Chicago, excellent schools, and a wide variety of architectural home styles.  Plus, it's home to the Chicago Botanic Garden and also has a wonderful public beach.
