Would You Dare do This?  I was in Chicago in December 2014 for a CRS Leadership meeting and had some spare time after I arrived, so I decided to visit the John Hancock Center on North Michigan Avenue a couple of blocks away, specifically the 360 Chicago Observation Deck on the 94th floor, around 1000 feet in the sky. While not the tallest building in the US, or the world, it is impressive nonetheless. Perhaps more so if you have the guts to try out the TILT - a moving platform that tilts brave souls about 30 degrees out over Michigan Avenue, offering quite a bird's eye view looking straight down.  The views just walking around the deck and taking photos were quite enough for me. YouTube has a number of videos if you are interested in seeing more about the TILT.
