It's funny how, sometimes, we're so used to hearing something that we don't hear the new thing when we first hear it. Say what?   For example, if I had a nickel for every time someone said "CO2" instead of "CO" when referring to carbon monoxide... well, I might have about $2.65. It's CO, people.  C.O.  Not CO2. CO2 is carbon dioxide.  Carbon monoxide (CO without the two) is what we're worried about when we're talking about furnaces and water heaters. The same thing comes up when I start talking about AFCI.   "Oh no, we have GFCI!" I know.  I'm talking about AFCI.  It's a different thing.   Quite simply, the GFCI keeps you from getting zapped.  We need GFCI protection in the kitchen, the bathroom, the garage, unfinished basements, and the exterior. The Barrington IL Housing market has been extremely active during the last few months but now the interest rates have started to climb a bit and families are taking well earned vacations while school is out, it's time to take a closer look and wonder if things might slow down a bit. Definition Of Your Barrington Equestrian Listing Agents Responsibilities - Don't Make Them Mine! Let's backtrack a little way to about a year ago when I was interviewed as a potential sellers agent to list, market and sell a horse property. We had a discussion about pricing in what was a pretty tough market at the time. Things are easing up now but we are not out of the woods yet and as often as not every property we sell will have some challenges. This  horse property is no different. South Barrington was home to highest priced Barrington area sale in June 2013 Every month I write about the highest priced sale in the Barrington area. It's another one of those litmus tests to get a feel for what's happening in our real estate market. On June 21st 2013 the property at 32 Witt Road in South Barrington closed at $2,600,000.
