I was sitting down this morning and trying to think of a topic to write on.  I have posted really good values in our area and homes listed at the smallest per square foot pricing but today I thought I would search out and locate the most expensive per square foot listing in our MLS.  I thought, well that it would be a high-end condo or some other type of high-end construction, but it turned out to be a listing in Ada County, in the city of Meridian, Idaho, The listing shows a 1,000 square foot manufactured home on a foundation, but also includes several buildings made to look like the old west, like the ones shown on the left. Saw this shirt on some of the family and coach of the Boise Police Department's Fast Pitched 14U Softball Tournament in Meridian Idaho last weekend! I think it says it all...with few words needed I tell you ...I could watch those games all day (and I have at the tournaments) The strength and the power of those pithers.... How does thier arm not fall off!  LOL  My nieces team lost sadly thier championship game So she is done as she has volley ball camp this weekend and won't be able to play in the last tournament. I salute all the girls on the Boise Starz For their dedication to the sport... I know Alli practices her batting and pitching every day....for at least an hour... Did you know that if you short-sale a property, the seller can be 1099'd for income? (Like bank interest, or Investment income) That's going to be a heck of a surprise when you get one for $50 to $100K depending on how short the home was sold for. Your agent can negotiate with the bank to make sure that they agree in writing that the note is PAID in FULL and they will not go after you the seller via judgment's, liens, garnishments, etc. Make sure your agent has this in the Discount Payoff Agreement Letter! Just be prepared and make sure your agent does their best to get this in the agreement. It has been long in coming.  We Treasure Valley residence have been awaiting the completion of the Ten Mile Interchange for far too long.  Back in the boom years in early and mid 2000's this area grew so rapidly, and especially Meridian that traffic became a bear in some of those areas.  Now, believe me, our traffic is still nothing compared tot he likes of places such as rush hour in L.A.  BUT, we have our share of congestion and one of my least favorite drives is Meridian during these times.  The Ten Mile Exit being opened is going to help immensely and make many people very very happy. TEN MILE INTERCHANGE OPENED - FINALLY!! I've yet to use it, but, I'm sure I'll feel the same satisfaction as I did the first day I drove over Locust Grove when it finally went over the freeway. 05/29/2011

  A great event is planned in the Treasure Valley this week!!!  The advocates Against Family Violence and High Desert Harley Davidson Are inviting motorcycle riders and passengers to take part in the Bikers Against Bruises Charity Ride 11 am Sunday May 22nd Meet at High Desert Harley Davidson 2320 E Cinema Drive in Meridian!  Tickets are $25 All proceeds go to Advocates Against Family Violence.  Riders will be riding in memory of Angie Leon (a young mother whose ex husband murdered her a few years ago) and other victims of Domestic Violence that have lost their lives!!! 05/21/2011

Even though the Interchange isn’t expected to be open for traffic until the end of the month, the official dedication is today. The City of Meridian hosted the event. This is a huge benefit to the city of Meridian and eastern  Nampa residents!  Meridian’s Mayor Tammy de Weerd, has been working toward this project for many years.  Also, in attendance should be  Idaho Lieutenant Governor Brad Little and Idaho State Senator John McGee. This should take a lot of traffic off downtown Meridian since with the growth of that area we really needed a new interchange to service the people that lived between the Meridian Exit in Meridian and the Garrity Exit in Nampa (six miles).
