I did attend many seminar in my real estate career as I strongly believe on education.I went to the 3 days seminar rich dad poor dad on Maui about a month ago.I paid $500 for it and all they did was making you believe that without them it would not be possible to become a real estate investor. They where degrading The real-estate industry by pointing out the Realtor and making them look dishonest and new nothing about what they where doing. Basically to them we where useless...Not only they insulted me and my fellow Realtors but they where using emotional trigger to make people feel that they could only succeed in life with their formula and books.I dind't learned anything and they asked us to pay $32,000 to get a mentor to be in the Real-Estate game...Some people where so naive and bor...

The great motivator and author Og Mandino once said this:"The victory of success is half won when one gains the habit of setting goals and achieving them. Even the most tedious chore will become endurable as you parade through each day convinced that every task, no matter how menial or boring, brings you closer to fulfilling your dreams."All too often in life we get caught traveling down the same path, day in and day out, leaving a deep rut. And what's worse, we delude ourselves with sugarcoated talk making this existence somehow tolerable. We talk about having goals, doing the right thing and about achieving what we want in life. That self talks just enough to keep us believing we're leading fulfilling lives. Its one thing to make ourselves feel better with talk about goals and to say we...

Hello, Friends,For those of you who have not been following The Saga Of The Superferry here in Hawai‘i, let me see if I can summarize. A couple of years ago, our (Repub. of course) Gov gave an *exemption* to this new, *large* ferry business to come to Hawai‘i and not have to perform an Environmental Impact Statement. The LAW says they have to, but our Gov gave them a free pass. So, some local environmental groups took them to court, and it took two years, but both the HI State Supreme Court and the local Maui circuit court agreed that it was illegal to give them this exemption, forcing the performance of an EIS BEFORE they could resume business here. Just as an aside, this ruling came a couple of months ago when HSF (Hawai‘i Superferry) had only been operating here for a couple of days!...

I am always impressed to see quality homes in Wailea.  This particular property had been "SOLD" a few month back.  I had one client who wanted this one and the price terms could not be met.  I still have a photo gallery of this home and I wonder if the new owner has found it to be Out of this World.  You are on a Golf Course, Gated Community, Close to Shops and many white sandy beaches.  MAUI FREE MLS Search:  www.garybland.com  Gary Bland R (S)  808-385-1265Century 21 All Islands (Wailea)Please visit my site to enjoy many properties that you could own someday.

In our industry many of us take on part time position in our services.  I am for one a Full Time Agent.  I make my living putting in the long hours to get the income I need to live here in Hawaii.  It is also a known fact the change we have seen in the market place.  I am having to put in more hours and find new ways to survive.  I am wondering how many part time agents we will loose with the change in market.  The Part Time Agents must be thinking of getting out of this field.  I do know that my costs to have my License has not gone down and costs are going up for marketing.  The easy days are over for many of us and looking to make it or break it. The market has slowed down in many areas in the United States from reading many blogs and listening to news media hipe.  This blog was post...

What are you going to do on Halloween?  It is a yearly event in Lahaina Maui Hawaii to close off the streets and party.  People from all over the world come here to experience the event.  The next day cars are parked along the roads leading out of town.  Maui has over a million visitors per year and climbing.  Wish you were here.
