Interesting Vineyard in Volcano, Hawaii

When one imagines a scenery of green hills rolling on the horizon into infinity, dotted with seemingly perfectly aligned rows of grapes, one may not often conjur up an image of a volcano in that same frame. However, when I stopped to consider that the defining factors of wine is based in part on soil, elevation and climate, it doesn't seem so odd to find a vineyard on a volcanic island. Probably what I enjoyed most was the creativity and use of local ingredients to produce local wines. Really good local wines! Anybody in Napa can turnout a decent pinot, but who can do a brilliant guava grape wine, for example?
