Let's Clear up some the Facts about Ocean View (updated 8/17/07) Q: Hawaiian Ocean View Estates - The Largest Subdivision in the United States?  A: I have been trying to verify that, and I do not have a definite answer, but I can tell you that there are over 10,000 one Acre lots on the Mauka side of the road, and I believe around 3,000 three Acre lots on the Makai side of the road Q: How Far is it from the Ocean?   A: As the crow flies - it is about 5 miles from the highway, take into account that the subdivision goes about 6  miles up the Mauka side, and about 3 miles down Makai side, add or subtract that from your location and your there. Hawaiian Ocean View Estates ! also known as HOVE, one of the largest - if not the largest subdivisions in the United States. Its just beautiful down there. Your perched on the slopes of Mauna Loa, with fantastic ocean views, nice breezes. The highway sits about 5 miles from the ocean, if you head up the mountain - the road goes about 6 miles up - all being HOVE, if you head towards the ocean - it probably goes about 3 miles down, this is known as HOVR( there is also a few other subdivisions below) if you take some of the 4-wheel drive roads - they will lead you to some of these secluded beaches - see below - I always ask people - what do you see in this picture that makes it different from all the other beaches in Hawaii - nobody ever guesses - maybe it would be a little more fair if as... 07/16/2007

Its amazing how many homes are available in the Ocean view area in the low 200s, I just finished showing approximately 30 homes - many of them new homes, in that price range. So if your a looking for a new home in that price range (200-250), please - give me call. I just got done visiting all of them - and love to show them again - TO YOU !I know some people worry about the Volcano in that area, but I just got done posting another article about that. and basically stated that - One Hurricane season in Florida will produce more damage than the Volcano has in the last 50 years.
