I for one am always amazed how fast some website get crawled by the search engine bots.  I use Google Alerts to notify of many different words and phrase.  I posted a new Blog last night and the time stamp between here and my email was only 50 minutes.  That is very fast and many of my Blogs on ActiveRain have been indexed in less than 90 minutes.  Just goes to show you how popular Activerain is and how many links there are here.  11/11/2015

I do not make many comments on AR that are not SEO or comical in nature, however I wanted to comment about Home Warranties.  We bought out house in St Marys Ga 5 years ago and got talked into a Home Warranty by the Realtor.  I was very skeptical at first because I figured it was a big waste of money.  I finally relented and Nancy and I bought a policy for a few hundred dollars.  Let me tell you what we have had to fix in the last 5 years that was covered by the warranty and only cost me a tiny deductible.   Water Heater fixed Pool pump replaced Dishwasher replaced.  In fact they allowed us to buy a nicer one and just had to pay the difference.  We got a $600 dishwasher for $200! Fixed the AC unit by replacing the compressor.  This is a very expensive replacement Garage Door Opener fixed... 12/26/2013

To me it is never really feels like Christmas until I have attended midnight mass at my church.  It has been many years since I attended midnight mass and I am happy to say that this year my church, Our Lady Star of The Sea is going to celebrate it's first midnight mass in a very long time.  I am so looking forward to this and to make it even more special my 10 year old son is serving. 12/22/2013

The other day during a light rain, after a couple weeks of solid rain, a couple marsh birds flew into the back yard and were feeding on "something" - I'm hoping it was the fire ants! I love watching the animals come visit. ...then a few more came...and so on, and so on!!!  Until we ended up with all these birds feeding in the back yard!  Flocks were coming in! And the funny thing is...they didn't go to anybody else's yard, just ours! We went to the front and watched a long line of the birds going around the house almost in single file...I told Max they were probably going next door since there's no fence.  We went to go peek at the back yard to see if they flew over the gate...low and behold, all of them did! We started our summer of hiking adventures this morning! The first was one of the many trails offered at Crooked River State Park in St. Marys.  We walked about 3 miles total.  Perfect for early morning activities so Max can come home and relax while looking at pics taken during the hike...and I can begin my workday with NO VIDEO GAMES to listen to...that music is enough to drive anyone crazy! Our daily hikes will begin at 7, right when the parks open...and believe me, there's tons of hiking trails and multiple parks in St. Marys...so many that I bet we won't have to duplicate any during the summer time!  Each day, a brand new trail.  Not to mention scavenger hunts while walking along the beaches and visiting all the islands (Jeckyll Island and St. Simons Island to mention a couple)...a... 05/06/2012
