The annual Taste of Suwanee will be held Saturday,    October 12 at Suwanee Town Park.   This years event will be kicked off with a 5K race along the Suwanee Greenway.  The race will start at 11:00 am but registration and packet pick up will begin at 9:30 in front of City Hall.  Companies who are assisting with the race are Big Peach Running Company, Gold's Gym and AAA Race Services.     Food booths and tasting will begin at Noon and continue until 5:00 pm.  There are over 40 Food Vendors participating so you will have a amazing variety of food available such as  pizza, wings, smoothies, cupcakes, cheesecake and much more.     Parking is available at Shadowbrook Church with shuttles running from 11:30 to 5:30.    Entertainment will be provided by bands, school choruses and so many othe... 10/12/2013

    Suwanee Town Park Site of Wine Fest    Suwanee Town Park will be the site of a what may become an annual Wine Fest event.  The event will be held on Saturday, October 5 from 1:00 to 5:00.  There will be wine samples of over 250 wines for tasting.  These have all been hand selected by the Beverage Superstore who is also a sponsor.  Live music will also be a highlight of the afternoon.   Tickets for the event will be $55 in advance and $65 at the door.  Obviously you must be 21 years of age or older to participate.   There are VIP tickets for $110 and will include premium wines only available at the VIP tent.  Do you have questions you would like to ask a sommelier?  You can have access to that at the VIP Tent. The City of Suwanee will be holding a dedication ceremony today in remembrance of the 9-11 Victims and Heroes today on the 12th year anniversary.   The ceremony will be held at 7:30pm today September 11,2013 and on display will be a twisted relic from one of the World Trade Centers.  The display for the remembrance ceremony is said to be an exterior Steel Panel from floors 101-104 and has been on display in Suwanee for the past two years. Today I pray for the families that loss a loved one on September 11, 2001 and I thank the first responders who were there to assist.     09/11/2013
