I hope each of you have had a nice day today. I got a couple of internet leads, but took the time to spend time with my family today. I cooked a nice dinner with turnip greens and black eyed peas for good luck and prosperity. I know I need to work hard to make this a better year. This is a time of year when we think of the past and are excited about the future. This past year has been a challenging year for many of us while some have actually had their best year yet. I wish that were my case, but I am in the basket with the challenged. I know our challenges make us grow and I have learned so much in the past couple of years. I never thought I was a person who took things for granted and wasted the things I had. I can tell you that I no longer take things for granted. This has been a year of many changes for me. I lost my Mom in February and still struggle to get my voice back into blogging. I have been watching some of my favorite bloggers and made an occasional comment or two. But still the words will not come to me. I made another change in my company a few days ago. I am now with Keller Williams Realty Atlanta Partners in Snellville, Ga. I still work the same areas in east metro Atlanta. My office is closer to where I live. It's a dynamic office with a broker that believes as much in education as I do. I think it will be a good fit and look forward to working there. Did you know that Brookwood High School has an After Hours program, which has been serving the Brookwood Cluster for over 30 Years? Very Impressive!  I personally was able to take a class on Photo Shop, taught by a very knowledgeable teacher,  which was very helpful to me! Looking for fun things to do this Labor Day weekend?  Here are a few things I have found: Why not try The Farmers Market, located at 2342 Oak Road, on the Town Green, adjacent to Snellville City Hall?   Although this happens each Saturday from 8-12 p.m., on the first Saturday of the month, which this will be, they also hold a Craft and Antique Village!   So it's close, and free and sounds like a fun outing, and to top it off, you can get some fresh fruit and vegetables too!  FYI, this Farmer's Market runs mid May through the end of October! A little farther from Snellville, are some other family friendly events, including, Arts on the Creek in John's Creek, Love the Lake in Acworth on Saturday and Sunday, with live entertainment and food, and other fun events. The Gwinnett Daily Post reports that Snellville will be getting an NTB store that is due to open in the December of 2011.  Snellville residents are excited about the national stores that continue to open in the area.  Academy Sports is got the go ahead and is now under construction at the corner of Janmar and 124. The stores will bring jobs and new revenue to the city. It is exciting to see how we are growing. From where I live, I now have less than a 2 mile trip to Sams, WalMart, Chilis, Longhorn, Academy Sports (coming soon), Lowes, Kroger, Home Depot, etc.  Yet, I don't feel like I am in the middle of all that. The city has done a great job in making the residential areas feel as such.  There are so many back roads that connect to 124 that I very rarely get stuck in traffic.    06/14/2011

Buyer: I am aware of the process for applying for a loan.  I was a home owner before.  However, I do know that I do not have to prequalify before looking at homes. It's a buyer's market and I have a lot of options.  Answer: I understand. You are doing an overall prequalification for a certain amount, not a certain home.  How else will you know what you qualify for? Yes, it is a buyer’s market and there are lots of homes to choose from.   I only work with prequalified buyers in my business.  It makes sense to know you will qualify in the price range you are looking at. Sellers require the letter for any offers and if you are looking at homes you should be prepared to have everything you need for any offers on property.
