In the month of September there were four active listings in the Inverness subdivision ranging in price from $425,900 to $449,900.  There were eleven listings that did not sell before their listing term expired.  In addition, there were five listings withdrawn prior to the completion of the listing term.  The Inverness subdivision in September continues to show an impact of a shifting market.  As a result pricing pressure will remain for listings to get under contract.Overall in Atlanta, last quarter 56% of homes did not sell.  Of the 44% that did sell, 34% had a price reduction, leaving 16% that sold without a price reduction.  For those that had a price reduction, the average days on the market (DOM) was 140 days.  Of the 16% that did sell with no price reduction they spent aproximate... 10/09/2007

Friends of mine invited me out to The Swallow at the Hollow in Roswell this Friday night. Don't look now but BusinessWeek has put out another List.  BusinessWeek has the uneviable task of coming up with only 20 suburbs in the North and 20 in the south that are affordable.   I'm not entirely sure how Roswell made it into the top 20 or how other cities in Georgia missed the cut, but I certainly feel slighted here.  Roswell is a great community, don't get me wrong, but there are several communities in Georgia such as Duluth, Lawrenceville, Dacula, Suwanee, Alpharetta, Buford, Kennesaw, that have equal or better options than the ones the selected from NC, SC or AL.Yes, I am bias, I have no qualms admitting that,  I guess I expected a more thorough analysis coming from a magazine that basically just wanted to publish a slide show, but come on, Tyler,TX - ?  Weston, FL?  How any c... 07/09/2007
