Run (or walk) in the Sam I Am 5K and/or 1-mile runs on Oct. 9th in Perry GA.  Proceeds will go to the family of Sam Kinnas in Houston, Texas to offset costs related to his cancer treatments.  The course is the same as the Dogwood Festival 5K.   Photo courtesy of Haunted Barn website This Halloween season, many daring Perry and Middle GA residents will venture into the Haunted Barn located at 2235 Hwy 41 North, in Perry, GA.  The Haunted Barn is rapidly becoming notorious for providing frightening, yet fun-filled Halloween entertainment.   What makes the Haunted Barn unique is not only the transformation it goes through during the Halloween season, but its history as well.   According to their website, the barn is located near the site of a bloody Indian legend.  It was also used as hospital during the Civil War, during which many soldiers died on the operating tables.   In addition, legend has it that in the 1930′s, the owners of the property simply vanished.  Locals believe that they were murdered and still roam the barn an... 10/05/2010

Perry GA will be hosting the 21st annual Georgia National Fair from 7-17 October.  The fair features a circus, commercial vendors, concerts, exhibits, family entertainment, fireworks, food, horse shows, livestock, rides, and street entertainers.
