My daughter Ellie is a senior engineering student at Vanderbilt University and was offered a great job in her hometown (Atlanta Georgia) after graduation.  My first thought: great, she can live at home for a bit and build up some cash.  I would NEVER have thought this would be an option in years past.  Once kids go through college they tend to seek an independent living situation.  Things are different these days and moving back in with the parents is no longer unusual or taboo. My daughter Hannah is a senior in high school.  For the past 12 years Hannah has played club soccer and our fall calendar has revolved around her soccer practices and matches.  This fall, not so much.  Hannah had a nasty foot fracture (called a Jones fracture) that required surgery over the summer.  A pin was inserted in her foot and she hobbled around in crutches and a boot for many weeks.  Because of the timing, Hannah could not play club soccer this fall. We were surprised early in the fall when Hannah walked in the door and announced that she had tried out for the school play, Romeo and Juliet.  To our surprise, and I suspect to Hannah's surprise also, she was selected to perform a minor part in the play. Short Sale in Hawthorne Elementary School District is a Diamond in the Rough I have a listing that has been on the market for a while.  It is located in an excellent Elementary School district.  The home is spacious and has a nice floor plan. We have lowered the price steadily over the past 6 months.  We are now priced at $259,900 which is well under the market.
