Norcross, Georgia is a small suburban city that is located 16.6 miles northeast of Atlanta in Gwinnett County. It's population is 9,887 people. Even though Norcross is a smaller community in the Suburbs, there are many things to do in this city. With Atlanta only a short drive away, it is not far fetched to go and do things in the big city. If driving is not on the agenda, you can still find things to do keep you busy in Norcross.    Norcross was founded in 1866 by John Thrasher. Thrasher named the town after his good friend Jonathan Norcross, the fourth mayor of Atlanta. Thrasher himself had been an early settler of Whitehall, but left in 1842. Amberfield subdivision located in Peachtree Corners Georgia is a beautiful neighborhood!  The first homes were built 15 years ago and now there are aproximately 400 homes.  Amberfield is a part of The Fields Club and is affliated with Linfield and Riverfield subdivisions.  Riverfield is located down the street and has aproximately 200 homes.  Linfield is around the corner and has a little under 200 homes.  All three subdivisions incorporate The Fields Club.  Amberfield offers a Pavillion, basketball court, tennis courts, sand volleyball court and a pool.  Riverfield offers a baseball field, tennis courts walking trail along the river and a pool.  Both Riverfield and Amberfield have sidewalks that allow you to walk the neighborhoods.  All three are surrounded by many opportunities such a... 01/18/2008

Norcross, one of Gwinnett Counties most industrial of cities and most convenient, is also the most diverse in every sense of the word.  Including Victorian style homes near the city center as well as sub $150K townhomes.  Norcross is known to some (in the Peachtree Corners area) to be a bustling place that's well, posh.  To others it's known as a gang invested slum area because of all the news reports. As with any city there are good and bad parts.  With only 545 homes for sale in Norcross, it has the fewest of Gwinnett's cities.  At an average price of $256K it's also one of the most affordable places to live. Yesterday I went to Norcross and noticed how much it has changed. I think it is growing as I speak. The community there is  so international. I found so many nice shops with imported merchandise and savory cusine products. Does everyone know about this? I foud product from my home town. Fruit that I would never find elsewhere.  New Federally Qualified Health Center Comming to Norcross  New Federally Qualified Health Center Comming to Norcrossby Treci Cauthen, Metro Brokers/GMAC Real EstateAtlanta Georgia Real Estate The Gwinnett County Board of Health and The Four Corners Primary Care Centers Inc., has joined forces to produce a new primary care clinic. This Federally Qualified Health Center has been approved by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The federal grant will be issued in the amount of $566,667 a year for three years. It will be called the Four Corners Primary Care Center and will be located at 5030 Georgia Bell Court in Norcross according to Vernon Goins (health department spokesman).
