This past weekend my wife, youngest daughter and I visited the "Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History" in Kennesaw, Georgia. I'll admit right off the bat, I'm a history nut, so I knew beforehand I was going to enjoy the visit. What surprised me was how enjoyable it was for the rest of the family and how we felt as if we were almost taking a trip back in time. The Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History have put together three impressive permanent collections and in addition is also a member of the prestigious Smithsonian Affiliations Program. The Museum offered a wide range of exhibits, including:A glimpse into the daily lives of soldiers during the Civil War A reproduction of a turn-of-the-century locomotive factory (and) An exciting depiction of the Civil War...

Kennesborough Square subdivision is made up of two different types of homes; "The Villas at Kennesborough Square" which is made up of homes on Hillsborough Chase, Cori Court, and Porsche Place, and "Kennesborough Square" Townhomes which are located on Kennesborough Road.  As a Real Estate Professional, it would be inaccurate to combine these reports, since they are two different types of homes. These two reports are posted below separately. The mortgage industry is going through a paradigm shift in the way mortgage products are delivered to clients. While the principles have not changed, the method in which they are delivered is changing with ever increasing speed. Part of my job in delivering outstanding customer service to my clients is great communication...that is a principle. However, the paradigm shift referenced above pertains to the method in which I delivery great communication to my clients. For example:Today most Americans own or have daily access to the Internet  Two years ago, most people had never heard of a blog (your reading one now) Five years ago, nobody had a Blackberry that delivered their email to them wherever they were Ten years ago, most individuals didn't have an email account Fifteen years ago, mos...

The history of Kennesaw dates back to the 1830s when the Georgia Legislature authorized the construction of a rail line through Cobb County. Known as the Western and Atlantic Railroad, 20 miles of track was in operation from Terminus (Atlanta) to Cartersville by 1846. Several small towns were founded along the railroad including Vinings, Smyrna, Acworth and Big Shanty.  [Click on the link below to learn more about the history of Kennesaw]http://www.kennesaw.ga.us/From personal experience, I can tell you that Kennesaw has done a great job with their downtown.  It features many unique restaraunts and activities for the whole family.

Tip of the WeekMinimal is the Key to Selling a Home When gearing up to sell your home, keep in mind that potential buyers react well to open spaces. There's nothing worse than walking into a house and becoming claustrophobic by clutter. As humans, we love our clutter, but it works against us when we're trying to sell our home.In all cases, agents suggest that sellers create a "clean" look for their home. If there is far too much furniture in one room, remove the extra pieces of furniture. Also, you want lots of white space around each piece of artwork hanging on your wall, and piles of books and shoe boxes should not be stacked up against the wall of a room. Your kids toys should also be put away in a toy box.Dressers, which have the potential for amazing clutter, should be given specia...

Before you buy a home, perhaps one of the largest purchases in your lifetime, there are a few things that you can do to prepare yourself for the events that take place during this purchase transaction. 1. Check your credit reports at http://www.freecreditreport.com/ . Before I began my career in real estate, I spent years as a bank lender. I would tell my clients to check their credit at least every six months for their own protection. You should do the same. This not only helps you spot identity theft, but this also gives you a head start on correcting any mistakes that the bureaus may have reported. Read through the reports and make sure that everything is correct before you apply for a mortgage.2. Know your FICO score. The above website with only give you the content on your reports....
