Mortgage rates are decreasing again- down to 6.08 today. Watch and let me know if I'm right, but I think rates will continue to decrease and I believe the Fed is going to help us out at their September 18th meeting! I've heard from agents in Florida that homes prices are leveling off. I expect the same thing to happen here in North Fulton. Sellers get to a point where they can't/won't go any lower and then prices will level. There are still some good deals out there but the homes that are in good condition, and at least somewhat updated are selling!  A little good news is better than nothing. I'll take it! Keep those rates declining and let's watch the housing market rebound! It is all cyclical. They say what goes up must go down, but this is a rubber ball and it will bounce back up! I'...

Waiting for interest rates to drop? If you're waiting for interest rates to drop again, it could be sooner than you think. Everyone will be watching when the Fed meets September 18th, 2007. With the current lending crisis and even big lenders like Countrywide in trouble, the Fed may have to take action. This in combination with the global stock market reaction to lending crisis has economists saying it is just a matter of time before the Fed gets involved. It is rare that they would do anything before their next scheduled meeting but if you are thinking of refinancing and still sitting on an ARM, you may want to give it just one more month before you pull the trigger. If you are thinking of moving, contact us now! Rates are low, and possibly going lower and inventory is high- a great co...

In the last few years in our super hot real estate market anything and everything sold homes.  Every thing ended up in the sale of a home!  There were open houses, lotteries, bonuses, no commissions, flat fee listings, for sale by owners and so on.  However, that does not seem to be the case any longer.  The days of multiple offers, no repairs, no inspections, and waiving appraisals are over.  So the days selling a home by placing it into the MLS for almost nothing are toast!   Homes that would sell with out effort, ads, flyers or even a live agent picking up the phone to answer buyers inquires are growing restless.  This assumption is passive marketing.  It works only in a seller's market.  When we are in an acknowledge buyers market, we have to pull out all the stops on how to sell a ...
