After following a few links and reading up on how the Obama campaign "PWNED" the internet (also translated as "Owned" or "WON"). I came across this interview with a Mr. Hughes.  One of the founders of Facebook and he goes in depth to describe what it is and how they envisioned people using it.  Oh and by the way, he was the genius behind the social media campaign of Obama.

If you've been reading any of my blogs then you know I was trying something out with an accountability test.  For those of you who don't know, here's the basics of what I was trying to do. A few times a year I write down my activities every 15 minutes or so.  Am I on point?  Am I focused?  It really helps to see if I am. Twitter is still something relatively new to me and I had the same opinion as my wife about it, "going out the door... sticking keys into car...wondering why the door is still unlocked...."  Doesn't really sound like a productive tool, but it can be. An older blog post inspired the idea of accountability or rather renewed it. So the goal was to combine those two into a longer blog post and see what happened.  For a recap of the day's activities go here: Day One - Goals,...

How a Foreclosure Begins A foreclosure is a property that is repossessed or put up for sale by a lender as a result of a homeowner's default on their mortgage loan. Generally, the process begins when the lender issues a Notice of Default informing the local authorities and the homeowner of their intention to seek a foreclosure. Once the Notice of Default is issued, there are several possible outcomes of the foreclosure process: The homeowner will have a certain amount of time before a sale occurs, known as the pre-foreclosure period, in which to pay off their default debt. This will allow them to reinstate their loan and maintain control of their property. The homeowner may also find a buyer for their property during the pre-foreclosure period. This allows them to pay off their debt an...

4:45 AM EST - Caleb is up, makes me want to sleep in.  Snooze. 5:40 AM EST - I'm up.. OK.  Twitter myself in...  Getting ready to work out. 7:49 AM EST - Worked out, was "OK."  Notice that the election is up in the air as usual.  Scary stuff on the TVs, such as the Fairness Doctrine.  186 E-mails.  Time to clean it up. 8:00 AM - Getting sidetracked, writing a semi-journal blog post about Richard Branson. 9:00 AM - Showered Up, Email Cleaned Out and Time to call.  Goals for today are 50 phone calls, trying to create 5 more mets (had 2 yesterday) and make at least 5 connections (3 yesterday).   I'm also going to talk to some vendors about lowering their fees or losing my business.  10:00 AM EST - Yikes only 4 phone calls - all good though! Result:  1 Pending Listing Appointment, 1 "1 on 1...

If you're a friend on Facebook then you know I have a little bit of a cold.  I'm not really sure why it's the worst in the mornings and nights but it is.  So instead of posting at 5AM EST and letting everyone know I'm off to work out to keep my girlish figure, I'm here at 6:39 AM EST checking my e-mail and trying to do a few things to get a head start.  6:39 AM EST Checking E-mail, Posting On Active Rain - 166 New Messages. 7:04 AM EST - Cleared out the e-mail. Mostly just assigned the internet leads to myself to follow up with.  Got sidetracked on the Shift Tour then downloaded more business building tools and hints.  Only $6K off where I was last year, which was my best year ever, so I'm happy and disapointed at the same time. Goals for the week. 150 Calls or 25 Connections with New P...

I recently blogged about accountability and I am about to put myself to the test!  After working with Twitter for some time now and reading a very interesting article about a Luxury real estate agent, I got the smart idea to blog my week.  To see if I am active as I say I am.  We'll see.   It sounds good to say you called 200 people, but where'd the other few hours go?  So my plan is blog in detail what I am doing when I am doing it on Active Rain and post occasional updates on Twitter/Facebook and LinkedIn.  I have a few goals in doing this: To hold myself accountable To keep myself on task To increase my exposure To increase the number of "touches" with my SPHERE. I would do this strictly on Twitter but I found myself annoyed when one particular user did something similiar.  Really, I...

Credit repair in Atlanta may not be as difficult as you might think. With over 79% of all credit reports containting inaccurate data it just may be easier to repair a credit report than one might think. After all the Fair Credit Reporting Act favors the consumer.

Why should I Short Sale Instead of Just Walk Away? A Short Sale enables you to: Prevent a Foreclosure on Your Credit Prevent a Bankruptcy Set Yourself Free from the Financial Burden of a Mortgage You Cannot Afford Experienced negotiators talk to your lenders and convince them to forego the expensive foreclosure process and accept an offer of cash. A good negotiator can show the bank why your home will be declining in value every day they hold it, and how, if your home is vacant, or becomes the object of vandals, it will cost them more cash out of pocket than to settle for a short sale. A good loss mitigation negotiator show them point by point that, even if there is negative equity in your home, they are better off accepting a short sale than foreclosing on your home. You will be glad y...
