Currently the Market here in the North Georgia Mountains is fair. Having said that makes us really robust for some other areas of the country. Here is why;We are still seeing retirees and baby boomers move to the area. The Hope scholarship is very family friendly as well. So we have a real mix of people moving in. Couple that with the expansion of Atlanta and you have growth from many different sectors. The numbers are interesting. While Atlanta price increases over last year are expected at 1.6 percent the mountains counties are running around 3 percent. This certainly beats the national average. Sales are slower and will probably be off about 20 percent for the year. But what this means is, to me anyway, is that the mountains are fundamentally strong.
