Memorial Day was established to honor that many who died in the Civil War and today it is for all of our fallen in all wars.  The flags are normally at half staff although they may stay at half staff this time to remember the lives lost in Texas.Our neighborhood, Victoria Parc at Tradition, did a fund raiser for families of fallen soldiers.  The young person below is selling lemonade.Later in the day people decorated their golf carts like the one below.Hope everyone takes time to remember and then enjoy back yard BBQ. 05/29/2022

Many businesses have been working remotely now for almost a year. Some people have moved forward to take full advantage of the new technology. Others are adapting. Still others are fighting it. When we first got our home in Florida we had two Sandhill Cranes that were always hanging around.  We haven't seen them in quite a while.  I looked outside my home office window this morning because I heard their very distinctive call as they were walking by and so I ran out with my iPhone.They usually travel in pairs but this third guy wants to join them.  They are having none of it.Later on in the day it was dinner time and we were eating outside.  Here they are again.  It looks like they lost the thrid guy.They stayed by the water and didn't try to come and join us.  They have tried it in the past.  It was a very peaceful day and glad to be outside and not behind the computer.  06/02/2020
