The otters in Wall Springs Park in Palm Harbor Florida are just so darn adorable, I just can't get enough of them. I was back there yesterday and once again today and they love having their photos taken. Or it sure seems that way since they appear to pose for the camera. Today we took some bread with us to feed them but Ronnie suggested that we take some shrimp or sardines next time. By they way, in case you are wondering, those are mullet swimming around with them. Large, fat mullet. Great for smoking but you are not allowed to catch anything that is in the spring. Be sure that there are going to be more photos in this series! I really love going to Wall Springs Park in Palm Harbor Florida on our daily walks!

Palm Harbor does indeed have some magnificent waterbirds and I was able to photograph a few this week during our early morning walks. Naturally, waterbirds love Wall Springs Park since they have over two hundred acres of natural preserve to enjoy and as the sun is coming up there are very few people around. The spring fed waters are a favorite of various species of tropical and nontropical birds. Many fish the estuaries as well, looking for their morning meal. Living here along the Gulf Coast of Central Florida in the Palm Harbor area is indeed living in Paradise!

Wall Springs Park in beautiful Palm Harbor Florida is another one of Pinellas County's great parks! Located off of Alt 19 just north of Aldermann Rd, Wall Springs Park can also be reached via the Pinellas Trail. As a matter of fact, it is one of my favorite early morning walking destinations.  This 210 acre park was once a popular spa and swimming spot, attracting visitors for miles. Today the park includes picnic tables, a wonderful play area for the kids, shelters that can be rented out for parties, restroom facilities, hiking trails, fishing piers and a 35 foot observation tower for viewing the wildlife that make their home along the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. What I love about Wall Springs Park is that it is a visit to what Florida used to look like everywhere. There are an abund...

Peter Rabbit was out and about this morning! Ronnie and I took an early morning walk over to Wall Springs Park in Palm Harbor Florida and spied Peter Rabbit along the way! When questioned, Peter Rabbit admitted that he was on the way to visit my Granddaughter, Aubrey! So I posted his photo on her mom's Facebook page, so they could identify him when he arrives! Be sure to watch out for Peter Rabbit coming to your house with his basket of goodies this week!!!
