Alligators Under AttackFlorida's state reptile and unofficial mascot, the alligator, has come under attack. The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission recently began a statewide study that may determine the eventual fate of wild alligators in Florida. Frequent reports of alligator attacks throughout the state have increased primarily due to the population insurgence over the past few years, causing many to question whether or not prehistoric creatures can live side by side with modern man.
