Sea DipSea Dip  is a 5-story 134-room Daytona Beach condo-hotel. It is one of the oldest condo-hotels in the area – it was built in 1960. In early 2000 it has undergone concrete restoration. The first condo-hotel to go through that. At that time $7K-$8K Special Assessment sounded like a lot of money.So, for 40 years it withstood time, Florida humidity and heat… We thought that it would carry it without any serious work for yet another 40 years, but this is not the case here. If you drive by Sea Dip today, you will see considerable work being performed on the building. Not as massive, as back in the early 2000, but still costing owners money. Sea Dip is one of Daytona’s direct oceanfront condo-hotels. 134 room resort, indoor and outdoor pools. Resort is owner managed. Unit sizes start from 216 sf. Some have city views, some offer ocean view and oceanfront. There are 8 units for sale in Sea Dip at this time. I checked the data on MLS and was stunned that 6 out of 8 listings were showing wrong, and you guessed it, much larger sizes. The condo-hotels are usually small, but there is a huge difference between 400 sq. ft. and 250 sq. ft. Price list is always deceptive.  1233 South Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach, Fl 32118 This 134-unit oceanfront condo-hotel with city and gorgeous ocean views is half mile south of International Speedway Blvd. Two pools, one outdoor and one indoor. The resort is owner managed, no outside management company, and, as usually the case, they do not have the best and even good rentals. If you plan to keep the unit for yourself, this is not a concern, however, if rental income is important to offset the expenses Sea Dip has the dubious distinction of having the least expensive unit in Daytona. SEA DIP 1233 Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach. Built in 1972. Located just over half a mile south of International Speedway Blvd on Atlantic Ave. 134 units with city and ocean views. Choose from Oceanfront or Ocean View rooms which overlook the Atlantic. Amenities include two pools - outdoor and indoor pool. Other resort amenities include laundry,  kitchenettes available in most rooms, shuffleboard, and a variety of enjoyable beach activities. Sea Dip was the first condo-hotel, that had to go through a very serious concrete work on all balconies and walkways.
