I had sold a previous property for this buyer and now she was ready to buy another home. The subject property was not inhabitable, but was located on a beautiful wide canal in the highly sought after Cooper City school district.  We went to contract, and the short sale negotiations began.  After about 9 months the short sale was denied by the lender. The seller and listing agent wanted to give it another try with a different short sale negotiator, and the buyer was willing to try again as well. Cooper City Garage Sale   Believe it or not, it was time again for the semi annual Cooper City Garage Sale! It was held last Saturday, March 3rd, and as usual, people came out in droves!  The Cooper City Garage Sale is held at the athletic fields at the corner of Stirling Road and Palm Avenue. This time, I waited in line to sign up to participate. This is such a popular event that the city distributes spaces by lottery. It costs $16 for a space, and residents begin lining up in advance, so they can secure a spot. It was a very hot day, temps were in the 80's. We began setting up at 6:00 am, and buyers were already waiting to shop! And shop they did.....it was a very successful day, with so much of my "garage sale stuff" selling! It was hot though!!! Cooper City Garage Sale The Cooper City Garage Sale will be held tomorrow, Saturday, October 1st, 2011 at The Cooper City Sports Complex on Stirling Road at the corner of Palm Avenue. Never far from the center of action was local radio talk show host Steve Kane as a masked gunman held up a busy Cooper City Bank of America branch shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon. The gun-wielding robber walked into the branch located at 5504 South Flamingo Road and demanded money from a bank employee after jumping the counter. No shots were fired and no one was hurt in the robbery, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
