Are you looking for bank owned house or a short sale?   If you are selling your home and you owe more on the property than you will make at the end of the sale or your property is not worth what it once was- you may have a short sale.  Once the lender agrees to work with you - then can sell your house as a short sale. A short sale is a better alternative to a foreclosure.  Both parties benefit, the seller avoids a foreclosure on their credit report and the lender can avoid excessive fees in connection with the foreclosure.   Below are the bank owned homes and short sales currently available  in Fairfield, New Canaan, Norwalk, Ridgefield, Weston, Westport and Wilton.       Fairfield short sales and foreclosures in Fairfield   New Canaan   Short Sales and Foreclosures in New Canaan   Norw...

Spotted a Bobcat Today Chasing a Deer in Wilton       I sat in my kitchen in Wilton, CT  this afternoon, and something caught my eye outside.    I saw the huge fluffy white of a tail of a deer bounding along in a hurry across my view in Bradley Park behind our house.     Then, I saw something else stir right behind our wall by our backyard.    It looked like a very large gray cat sitting there - but it was so extremely quick when it decided to follow the deer!  It was a bobcat! I looked it up online, and found an article about a family in Darien seeing one in their backyard also.  There are bobcats wandering in our woodsy areas here in Fairfield County. Please take care not to leave your children or small animals unsupervised outside...  If you want to learn more about Wilton, please ch...

Some Unusual New Restaurants in Wilton, CT 06897 in April 2013 Many new restaurants have popped up in Wilton.  Cafe Bon Appetit has fabulous French food.  Luca, a Wilton favorite, and Bianco Rosa are both wonderful Italian restaurants.  Cactus Rose serves Mexican at its best, and there is the top rated Schoolhouse at Cannondale.     Our newest addition is the Little Pub 2, they opened last Thursday April 18th.  They are located on Route 7 just past Outdoor Sports in Wilton.  Little Pub 2 is a larger version of the very popular Little Pub in Ridgefield.

Yes, it was another smashing success at Dagny's.  She is the hostess with the mostess.  I have to buy those chips she bought at Costco.  Yum Yum.   We are just like family and it was so wonderful to see everyone again...except for Matt Souto that I had the honor of meeting (George Souto's son).   We took a bunch of photos...but I got the one that captured the essence....   Yes, everyone wanted pictures to include in their blog.  Ed announced that he would email everyone the picts...but only after he published his blog post.  LOL   Below is a group picture.  Julia Maher left before we were able to get a group shot, but it was great hanging out with her on Dagny's deck.  The weather was wonderful for most to the party...well except at the end...we heard grumblings of thunder, ten lighteni...

WILTON Market Trends Report Q1 2013   The Wilton market has improved since last year with 27% more homes selling this quarter than at the same time last year.  There are 18% fewer listings on the market.  Fewer listings and increased sales have resulted in 14 months of inventory vs. 25 months last year.  Sale prices have increased by 1% due to a combination of lower inventory and increased sales.  Last year in Q1 the price range was $280,000 to $1.7 million with a median sale price of $699,000.  8 homes sold for over $1 million.  In Q1 2013, the lowest sale was $260,000 and the highest was $2.6 million with a median sale price of $712,000.  7 homes sold for over $1 million. The homes most in demand in Wilton during Q1 2013 were 4 bedroom homes in the $700,000-725,000 list price range...

WILTON Market Trends Report February 2013     Prices continue to decline in Wilton, Connecticut even though inventory is lower and sales have increased. Average DOM is lower than a year ago and have also decreased over the past three months.  Homes were selling at 94% of list a year ago and are now at 95% of list, so there are many signs of an improving market. The amount of inventory that the market can absorb is down significantly from a year ago where there was 15-16 months supply. We use the 12 month absorption rate (see chart above) to determine inventory absorption, which means that it would take about 9 months to sell every home currently on the market in Wilton.   INVENTORY   SALES   HOTTEST HOMES IN WILTON The homes most in demand are four bedroom homes listed between $700,0...

Wilton CT 06897   What a treat!  The Circus came to town for one day only.      The One Ring Circus had acrobats, a juggler, magic, exotic animals (who you could get a ride on) and of course a clown.       Everyone had a blast at this unique event in Wilton, CT      Kids went on Horse and Camel Rides               I heard it was a very bumpy ride on that camel.     We all were entertained by the amazing acrobats,         and the talented juggler.  It's hard to tell from the picture but he was bouncing a ball on his head while juggling all those rings!              We all had a great time with 2 hours of circus fun! Thank you for stopping in Wilton, CT!
