It Was A Morning of Want, But Bad Timing . . . Sunday Musings I had to open up a house for an inspection for one of my buyers this morning, which is never a bad thing, and probably my first ever Sunday morning inspection. The buyer had little time available as they are from out of area and the timing of the contract needed to get it done real quick. Sunrise on Lockwood Pond  Watertown CT I was at Crestbrook Park in Watertown, early one morning and the sunrise coming over the hills started to illuminate the trees on the west bank of Lockwood Pond. The eastern bank was still covered in darkness, which made for an interesting difference to the view. There was no wind and if I had enough elevation, I might have been able to get the tree's reflections in the water. Pick Your Own at Evergreen Berry Farm Watertown  CT       On the northern end of Watertown CT is the Evergreen Berry Farm. This is a 29 acre farm covered with row after row of berry bushes. In season, people can be seen bending and reaching for blue-berries, raspberries, blackberries and elderberries. This year, the berries were ripe early primarily because of the very mild winter. They were lush and they were plentiful. We went a few times as many in the family are just berry, berry wild for berries. A Bit of Country, very Close to the City I had to take a bit of a detour this morning on my way back from the golf course in Watertown CT, and came accross a small pasture that that was just so out of character for the area. Some wanna-be farmer had livestock all grazing around a small pond. Ther were at least a dozen steers, a long weay from the plains of the West. There were some emu's also a long way fron their natural habitat. This llama seemed to be giving me the raspberry. The younger bull was getting too close to a cow and the bigger fellow came over and the boys mixed it up a bit. In addition to these animals, there were goats, geese, ducks, some young calves and a donkey.
