East hampton's Chatham Historical Society invites the public  to an evening presentation by Arthur Liverant of Nathan Liverant & Son Antiques of Colchester. The presentation will take place Tuesday, may 6 at 7:30pm in the media center at Center School, across Bevin Blvd from the Historical Societ's complex, east Hampton, CT. He will give a talk on antique chidren's chairs. Arthur Liverant is well known in the Antiques World, has appeared on Antiques Roadshow and his collection of children's chairs dates from 1700 to 1880. All are welcome and the program is free. It is sponsored by the Historical Society.

On Sunday, April 27, the 2nd annual Belltown Spring Sprint will be held, starting at 9:15am, with a 1 mile Kids Fun Run. The 5K Run/Walk will take place at 10am. Medals will be presented to top 3 men and women finishers in each age group, and all runners in the Kids Fun Run. For the 5K Run/Walk, pre-registration is $20:after April 20, the fee is $25, students through grade 12 can participate for $10. The group is particularly seeking managers, people that like to sell, those prone to accounting or instructing and those that like to assist on outside activities. The groups' concentrate on improving the environment and makes field trips, attends crafts shows and gets involved with projects  from other organizations or promotes it's own. The group's main source 0of income is selling it's handcrafted wooden products, birding supplies and miscellaneous projects. The East Hampton Art Association invites all fine artists to register for it's 31st Annual Fine Art Show to be held on the Congregational Church lawn, 59 Main St, East Hampton, CT, on Saturday June 7th. East Hampton Cub Scout Pack 57 is selling tickets to the Friday, July 25th, Connecticut Defenders baseball game at Dodd Stadium in Norwich. The Defenders are the AA affiliate of the San Francisco Giants and will match up against fellow CT team, the New Britain Rock Cats (AA affiliate of the Minnesota Twins). A fireworks display will follow the game. Tickets are $8 each for seats located between 1st base and home plate. They may also be exchanged for any other Defenders home game. The East Hampton Village Lion's presents "A Taste of Italy" night featuring the strolling minstrel Angelo on Saturday, April 12 at the Saint Patrick's Community Center on Maple St, East Hampton CT. Epoch Arts will host its first Artisans Craft fair Saturday April 12 from 10am to 4pm at 27 Skinner St, East Hampton, CT. Spaces are available for $25 and a crafter's donation to the teacup raffle is appreciated by Epoch. Crafters interested in reserving a space, call Epoch Arts is a nonprofit "arts for youth" organization dedicated to helping young people learn to communicate, collaborate, create and celebrate by experiencing hands on, the arts. Proceeds from the craft show  go into programs to enrich young lives in East Hampton and it's neighboring communities with experiences in the arts.
