 The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be sponsoring and hosting their 2017 Cycle For Life, Cystic Fibrosis Event On August 26th.  The Cycle For Life Event is perfect for all bicycling skill levels with route options of 10, 30, or 62 miles.   2017 Pancreatic Cancer Research 18-Hole Stroll On June 25th is at the The Travelers Championship, TPC River Highlands, Cromwell, CT  again this year.  Four years ago one of our ActiveRain members here in CT, Gail Robinson, lost her husband Bill to Pancreatic Cancer.  Gail Robinson is one of the nicest, and most courageous person I have met.  The battle her and her husband Bill fought with Pancreatic Cancer  the last few years of his life were both an inspirational, and heartfelt one for me.  The end of that battle for Bill was not the one many of us here on ActiveRain had hoped and prayed for.  But even though Bill's fight with Pancreatic Cancer came to an end, it does not mean we can not carry on the battle to bring an end to this horrible and deadly disease for others. School Craft Fairs are a excellent way to show support for local schools, and this Saturday is an opportunity to do just that by stopping by the Cromwell Middle School 2016 Holiday Craft Fair November 19th.  School Craft Fairs are also a great way to find special Christmas gifts for those hard to buy for people.
