Aurora neighbors buy golf course to preserve their view.   It is true , here in Beautiful Metro Denver, a group of condo homeowners bought a 90 acre golf course to protect their view. Thats what I call ...putting your money where your view is...Congrats to Heather Ridge Condo Owners. The 1,127 homeowners who now line the course will pay about $35 a month in taxes for bonds that are structured to be paid off in 30 years, although district members expect them to be paid off much sooner. As of today, the golf course will be known as the Golf Club at Heather Ridge. . They plan a media blitz to let golfers and others know that the course is open to anyone who wants to play. Today, I heard that the cost of the items in the twelve days of Christmas would be around $87,000 in today dollars. It made me ponder and think. I love the song (see below), yet wouldn't in my wildest moment spend money on those items. Who really needs two turtle doves? However, $87,230 will buy some really awesome items. Friday has arrived with thoughts of the weekend, milder temperatures, and my to-do list of organizing my garage.  My garage appears to be a dumping ground of clutter from the accumulation of things that I did not want to take the time to put away over the summer. It is so packed that even my truck is afraid to spend the night inside. I have a pretty good idea of what people may be thinking when they drive by and take a peek inside. I'm not selling my home but I should remember that an organized garage suggests that the entire house has been well maintained. An organized garage increases the value -- not a lot -- but it does help.  I found this photo from Gladiator Garage Works and it's a great example that illustrates clutter in the garage undermines our marketing efforts when it comes ... 09/18/2009

Foreclosure is one resolution when a homeowner finds that they can no longer afford to make their monthly payments.  But there are other possible solutions. 1) Attempt a workout with the lender.  Call your lender and ask them if they can offer you a loan modification whereby your payments can be reduced or you can get a reduction in your interest rate. 2) List your property with a qualified agent to do a short sale on your property.  This is where the agent would represent you to negotiate between your lender that has the lien on your property and a potential buyer to ask the lender to accept less than what is owned them by the owner. 3) Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure.  This is where you would trade the ownership of the property to the lender in exchange for the cancellation of the note. 4... 05/05/2009
