What an amazing weekend in the VailValley.  There were fireworks displays of magnificence in Avon, Beaver Creek and Vail, outdoor concerts, farmer’s markets and so many people EVERYWHERE!  I’m always surprised at the turnout here in the Valley for the 4thof July.  Everyone thinks of Vail as a winter ski destination.  But, wow, you should see this place in the summer!    The flowers are blooming, the sun is shining, and I’ve never seen so many people on bicycles cruising around the neighborhoods.  Thanks to everyone who visited our mountain communities this holiday weekend.  We hope to see you again soon!   07/05/2011

The Vail Real Estate Market has welcomed 2011 with great real estate opportunities and positive results.  The Beaver Creek area had 7 closings in January.  Two of those properties, one in Bachelor Gulch and the other in Beaver Creek sold at over $10,000,000 each.  Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate participated in 6 of those 7 closings.  Vail Village had 5 closings in the month of January ranging in price from $2,560,000 to $9,195,000. Cold day here in Vail.  But if it is too cold to ski today feel free to drop by my listing at 387 Beaver Dam Circle.  Ski-In home, right next to the Gondola in Lionshead.  The home was built in 2000 but it feels brand new. 5 bedrooms including a caretaker studio. Here is a video showing the amazing snow on Vail Mountain. The Mountain is 97% open and we've had almost 150 inches of snow so far.  This is the season for a Vail trip or the purchase of a Vail home.  On the real estate front, as opposed to the skiing front, there is a noticeable uptick in activity in the market.  The three new projects in town, the Ritz Carlton,  The Four Seasons, and Solaris, are all open and looking great.  After all the years of construction, Vail is looking better than ever.  I'm actually crazy busy right now.  Closing on Tuesday....offers submitted....another closing mid January.  What I'm trying to say is please forgive the lack of details in this blog post.  I basically just wanted to show you the video.     12/17/2010
