Lone Tree Colorado - Lone Tree Trails - Featuring Bluffs Regional Park Trail Bluffs Regional Park Trail Featuring a Lone Tree Trail - Bluffs Regional Park Trail which is tucked behind some large homes of Herigage Hills Estates and Carriage Club subdivisions. The main trailhead is located south of Lincoln on Yosemite (which changes to Ridgegate Parkway at Lincoln). The trailhead is half a mile south of Lincoln and there is a sign to take a right past Heritage Hills Estates to enter the Bluffs Trail. There are three other ways to get on the trail, through paths that join the trail behind Heritage Hills Estates(1) and Carriage Club (2) subdivisions. This Lone Tree trail doesn't wind through the Rocky Mountains but it offers some spectacular views and has such an easy access without the lon...

Last weekend we decided to eat out and everyone wanted Mexican food, so we decided to head over to Rio Grande in Lone Tree. There is also another one in Denver- its actually in LoDo not far from Coors Field.  But for this dinner out we stayed closer to home. The Rio Grande has been one of our favorites since the Lone Tree location opened - the chips & salsa are great and everything else on the menu is fabulous too.  It is also one of the place I recommend checking out when the first move to the Denver area. My kids both really enjoy the nachos - my son has graduated off of the kids menu and gets the chicken nachos.  They are a little different than your standard nachos - Each chip is heaped with toppings and baked in a single layer instead of your usual pile of chips with everything on ...

Lone Tree's Summer Concert Series Continues The next concert in Lone Tree's Summer Concert Series is on Saturday, July 26th in Sweetwater Park, Lone Tree, Colorado.   You & the entire family will be in for a real treat when the Colorado Symphony Orchestra takes the stage at 7:30 pm.  There is also a kids activity area called Passport to Culture for the kids to interact and explore different cultures.   I am not certain if I will be able to get to this one myself - my wife and the kids will be leaving early the next morning to visit out of town relatives, so we are still undecided.  However we love these types of events.  And the symphony is perfect for my kid's interest as my son loves the drums and my daughter is more of a keyboard/piano gal.  And my wife absolutely loves listening to...

Highlands Ranch real estate and Lone Tree real estate - together in a market report.  Its an interesting comparison right now.  If I separated it out for you right now, Highlands Ranch would have better sales statistics numbers than Lone Tree homes sold.  Why?  Well, there is a number of reasons.  But for the sake of argument, I am going to keep them together for this post since they are lumped together by the Denver MLS. Highlands Ranch is still seeing decent activity, I especially have noticed an increased in activity in the under $350,000 price range.  The regulars still come into play - the best homes in the best condition and with great amenities (views, cul-de-sac, open space) will still sell quickly. ESPECIALLY if we are looking at the under $350,000 price range.  Price your home...

In Lonetree, just south of Park Meadow Mall is a great place called Skyventure.  Skyventure is a Vertical Wind Tunnel, that generates wind speeds of over 160 mph, in a controlled environment.  The wind allows anyone to actually "FLY" (all while being within arms reach of a trained instructor!)No experience is necessary, as they train you to soar on a column of air.  They cater to experienced skydivers, corporate team building events, children's birthday parties, and anyone who wants to experience the feeling of flight, without having to actually jump from a perfectly good airplane! For more information visit their website at http://skyventurecolorado.com/ and for a map and directions click here.Visit the Get Home Denver Team for all of your Denver area Real Estate needs!

Lone Tree, CO - LONE TREE REAL ESTATE & HOMES SALES NUMBERS FROM FEBRUARY 2008 REAL ESTATE MARKET ACTIVITY REPORT - SINGLE FAMILY HOMES Lone Tree is located in northern Douglas County, CO and has an extremely desirable location to many due to its close proximity to several area business centers such as the DTC and Meridian.  And because it resides in very close proximity to the crossing of I25 and C470, commuting to downtown Denver (by car or light rail) and out to the Lockheed plant is a breeze as well.  With that said, there is activity in Lone Tree, and I have seen increased activity across the metro area. There is new home construction in Lone Tree, which provides added competition to resale home sellers as well as to the builders themselves which will continue to help the market th...

What on earth is the track system?  Why do I keep hearing the term "off-track" and what does that mean?  That is probably one of the most asked questions that I get about the school system for families that may be relocating to Douglas County.  Whether they are choosing homes in Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Castle Pines, Castle Rock, Parker, Larkspur or Sedalia - they all want to know.  What are tracks?  Why does the school have them?  What track is best?  Is every school on a track? And are we going to like it? Well, first of all, I wrote an article a while back about this same topic.  Its all still pretty relevant, so you can read that here. Basically, during a time of enormous growth, the Douglas County School District decided that they could fit 25% more children in a building if 1/4...

Highlands Ranch Homes & Lone Tree Homes - State of the Market - October 2007  Real Estate in Northern Douglas County - (for Highlands Ranch & Lone Tree) - has taken the normal time of the year slow down and although many other parts of Denver have slowed even more, there has still been activity in Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree.  I have been saying this all year - and I will add it again.  If you want to/ need to sell your home - you have to price it right.  There is just no other way.  This is not a time to "see what you can get."  You are sitting here on the Internet doing your research about home pricing - well I am here to tell you - your future buyer is too.  They are smart & know exactly what is going on - and if they have hired a great REALTOR®, that agent is not going to let them...

Highlands Ranch & Lone Tree Real Estate - Market Repport for September 2007     Highlands Ranch real estate is improving. Days on market are just over 2 months for Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree homes sold.  Once homes are priced right, they get 97% list to sold price.  So it is still a buyer's market to some extent, but sellers are not "giving" their homes away.  Don't expect to "steal" too many homes.  The message for Highlands ranch and Lone Tree sellers is if your goal is to move before the end of the year, then get your home to the right price and keep it in tip top showing condition.  If you do this, you may be sold before the end of the year.      Highlands Ranch & Lone Tree Single Family Homes Total Active 682Average Price 478,231New Listings  377Back on the Market - 50Sold 158Av...
