Originally Posted at - Denver Relocation Info: The Extremes of Colorado Weather Through much of December and January of this current winter, here in Denver we were very lucky to experience an extremely mild winter.  With temps often in the 40's, 50s and even 60's - snow in Denver was sparse if any.  The Colorado mountains kep the snow to themselves and here in Denver we were very lucky to be spared of the major storms in other parts of the country. Last night we were not really able to see the moon rise, it was quite cloudy here.  Tonight however it was nothing short of breathtaking as it rose over Westridge Pointe in Highlands Ranch.   Just a few days ago I was able to take photos of a spectacular sunrise, and now the moon rise.  I walk the dog every night in Highlands Ranch and luck had it that tonight I happened to have my camera in my coat pocket still from earlier in the day.   Not long after I took this it seem the clouds cleared or moved and that was beautiful too, but I think it adds a bit to the shot. 11/21/2010
