View 2015 Market Recap Here2015 was another year of sustained growth for Crested Butte's and Gunnison's real estate markets. The market grew bigger than expected with Crested Butte seeing a nearly 10% increase in sales over 2014 and Gunnison realizing a whopping 90% increase over the previous year. Across Gunnison County, average sold prices rose along with the total no. of properties sold. 377 transactions created just over $170 million in sales volume for the Upper East River Valley making 2015 our best performing year since 2008. Impressive considering this path we are on didn't really kick off until 2013 when values began to stabilize after the downturn. The overall Gunnison and Crested Butte area real estate market has continued strong growth throughout 2015.  The market is up almost 15% over 2014 for the upper  East River valley. The main reason for the overall growth? Single family homes just outside of the Town of Crested Butte and all the way into the city of Gunnison have all seen large sales volume growth from 43% to 173%.Also vacant land and lots have seen significant growth from the previous year. The market segments that have leveled off include single family homes, condos and town- homes in both the towns of Crested Butte and Mt. There are still plenty of fall colors to see in the Crested Butte Area! This list of 5 Must-See Places for Crested Butte Fall Color is a good start for any leaf looker. The list was compiled by local photographer, Dusty Emerson and judging by his photos, he knows all the sweet spots. Of course, Kebler Pass (home of the world’s largest aspen grove) is on the list in addition to other nearby areas. Many of them require little to no travel from the heart of town and my personal favorite, The Castles, can be seen clearly from Ohio Pass. The peak has passed in some areas, but you may still be able to catch a glimpse of that bright yellow hue alongside the golds and deep oranges this weekend. It’s that time of year again. Colorado’s fall colors are nearing their peak and there are some great spots for a front row seat to the vibrant colors! Kebler Pass, just outside of Crested Butte is home to the world’s largest aspen grove. It also happens to be the second largest living organism on Earth- definitely worth checking out. If you need more leaf looking, there are nine other places on this list of 10 Best Places To See Colorado’s Stunning Fall Colors. You may get better views if you steer clear of passes high above 11,000 feet elevation, as you will find yourself high above the trees. Beware of stopping vehicles and pedestrians with cameras…have fun out there!If you re interested in the worlds largest living organism, it’s a honey fungus in Oregon.

I am very pleased to announce two successful real estate transactions here in Crested Butte Colorado. I represented each buyer on their purchases of a 11,250 sf "in-town" homesite.
