Boulder Farmer’s Market The Boulder Farmer’s Market is a great place to find fresh produce. The market is well known for having a wide variety of organic fruits and vegetables in addition to a selection of freshly baked breads, and local wine. The market is held on 13th Street between Arapahoe and Canyon right next to the Park in downtown Boulder. Boulder Creek runs nearby. The market is open on Saturdays between 8am and 2pm from until November 6th. It’s also open on Wednesdays from 4pm to 8pm through October 6. There is a large food court with lots of goodies to choose from and there is usually live musicians playing on Saturday. If you’re looking for good food and a nice afternoon outside, then stop by the Boulder Farmer’s Market and check it out.      Boulder Green Built Homes For Sa...

Flowers in the Early Morning I set off on an early morning bike ride this morning. I was late leaving at around 5:45 am but managed to finish one of my stronger rides. As I headed up Lee Hill Drive out of Boulder toward Jamestown, I stopped to photograph some flowers. It was cloudy so it was still quite dark. The flash came on and gave me a few good shots of the flowers. I didn’t notice the bugs on the yellow flowers until I looked at the pictures.      Boulder Green Built Homes For Sale Contact Me Today For More Information Or Call Me @ 720-771-5594 Search More Denver and Boulder County Homes For Sale   If you or someone you know is interested in buying or selling a home in Boulder County or anywhere in Denver Metro please call me. Boulder Bike Ride Sunrise 1 August 2010 Yesterday I was out before dawn again on an early morning bicycle ride north of Boulder. It was just a 25 mile ride up Hwy 36 to Lyons and back to Boulder. I got back in plenty of time to make the early service at Columbine Unity Church. I managed to catch the sunrise about 7 miles north of Boulder. It was quite spectacular but it didn’t last very long as the clouds took over pretty fast. Still, I managed to get a few decent shots. Boulder Colorado Sunrise Bike Ride Boulder Colorado is one of the most bicycle friendly communities in the country. There are bike paths and bike lanes going in nearly every direction all over town. Just about everywhere you go you’ll people of all ages on bikes. One of my favorite rides is to go north on hwy 36 in the very early morning. I like to leave early because it’s super quiet and there is very little traffic. As an added bonus I frequently enjoy the morning sunrise. This morning the Boulder Colorado Sunrise was spectacular. I stopped a few miles north of the city limits and took the series of photos shown below. If you enjoy bicycling, Boulder Colorado is the place to be.      Boulder Green Built Homes For Sale Contact Me Today For More Information Or Call Me @ 720-771-5594 Sea...

Boulder Recreational Center Yoga Class I had an interesting experience in yoga class this morning at the North Boulder Recreational Center. The instructor, Ravi Dykema, who is a extraordinarily gifted yoga teacher, led the class as one continuous, harmonious flow. It was wonderful, even blissful at times. I completely lost track of time and felt myself immersed in a joyous sensation of being in the moment. At one point Ravi described how Yoga is about sensing into the body to become aware of where we are contracting and then to relax the contraction. His explanation was simple yet profound. Our physical contractions are a type of self-defense designed to prevent us from feeling something that we are blocking on some level. Yoga helps to relax the contraction and integrate the feelings. ...

I am officially a blogger. I signed up with Active Rain, and I am slowly finding out what the whole blogging and Twitter world is all about. So, here is what I will do. I will let you know what is happening in Boulder County. Real Estate happenings of course, but I will also let you know what else is going on. Like Bands on the Bricks on Pearl Street, every Wednesday night during the summer. This Wednesday, July 21, come listen and dance to the ancient Latin/African music traditions of Kutandara. Or enjoy local veggies and fruit from our wonderful local Boulder County farmers, at the Boulder Farmers' Market on Wednesdays from 4PM to 8PM and Saturdays from 8AM to 2PM. If dancing and veggies are not your thing, there are some wonderful and funny street performers, great restaurants and de...

Boulder Colorado Sunrise Bike Ride I started my ride at 5am this morning. I did a route I am now calling the Lyons Loop. From Boulder I went north on hwy. 36 to Lyons and then looped around to 75th st and back down to Boulder. The ride is just over 32 miles and I finished in two hours and nine minutes with an average speed of 15.3 mph. It was one of my best rides yet. I made it back home in plenty of time to make the early service at Columbine Unity Church. I took a couple of photos of the sunrise north of Boulder. On the way back to Boulder I snapped a couple of shots of the balloons taking off from the airport. The ride was great and I am feeling super-fantastic.      Boulder Green Built Homes For Sale Contact Me Today For More Information Or Call Me @ 720-771-5594 Search More Denver ...

Boulder Colorado River Rock Art Returns Late yesterday I was walking along Boulder Creek at Eben Park and came on a fresh stand of river rock art. The artist was there just finishing up for the day. Unfortunately, there was not enough light to photograph so I went back this morning and took a bunch of shots. This collection is probably his best yet. Some of the rocks seem to defy gravity. The stand looks like a small city—almost surreal. It is interesting how the art arises out of the waters and then gradually returns as entropy takes over. In the meanwhile, the art graces the riverbed and attracts lots of attention from passers by.      Boulder Green Built Homes For Sale Contact Me Today For More Information Or Call Me @ 720-771-5594 Search More Denver and Boulder County Homes For Sale...

Boulder Colorado Fireworks in the Rain Last night I attended the fireworks celebration at Folsom Field in Boulder. Just before the show was supposed to begin it started raining. The rain continued to fall pretty hard over the next hour or so. Not only was it raining but it was quite cool. Many people left because of the rain and many others didn’t even bother to come. The crowd was well below the 25,000 that were expected. But the show must go on—rain or shine. While most of the festivities were canceled the Colors were presented and the fireworks commenced in the rain. It was kind of surreal to be out in the pouring rain watching an extravagant fireworks show, but it was well worth it for those of us that stayed. And wouldn’t you know it, the rain stopped shortly after the fireworks sh...

Boulder Colorado Morning Mountain Views My bicycle route this morning was north on Hwy. 36 to Neva/Niwot road and then east to 95th Ave. From there I went south to Valmont and West back into Boulder. The loop is about 25.5 miles and currently takes me about an hour and 40 minutes to complete. Today I decided to take my camera with me. As I was heading south on 95th I got some great shots of the early morning sun on the Front Range. There were some balloons lifting off from Boulder Airport which looked great with the mountain backdrop.      Boulder Green Built Homes For Sale Contact Me Today For More Information Or Call Me @ 720-771-5594 Search More Denver and Boulder County Homes For Sale   If you or someone you know is interested in buying or selling a home in Boulder County or anywher...

Boulder Colorado Sunrise I dusted off my bicycle this past week and have enjoyed some early morning rides around Boulder. This morning I was on the road by 5:30 am but a little late to catch the crack of dawn. Even still, I enjoyed a spectacular light show just north of Boulder along Highway 36. The sun was obscured by an array of clouds scattering the light creating both contrast and color. So a mere 10 minutes or so into the ride I pulled over and took these photos. Boulder Columbine Unity Flower Garden The flower garden at Columbine Unity Church in Boulder Colorado is really beautiful. This is the time of year when all the flowers are in bloom and the color combinations are extraordinary. The garden sits along the walkway from the lower part of the church beside the water fountain. It’s wonderful to sit there after morning service and soak a little sun while sipping tea. A Yellow Flower…Up Close and Personal I took a close up of this yellow flower in the garden at Columbine Unity Church in Boulder Colorado. It was a sunny day and once again I was playing around with the digital zoom on my camera. The camera is nothing special—Nikon Coolpix,  8.1 megapixel. The key to good close-ups is holding the camera steady. If you look closely, you’ll see a tiny insect on the photos. On the last photo there appears to be two insects. Look a little closer and you’ll see the face of Mother Nature looking back at you.        Boulder Green Built Homes For Sale Contact Me Today For More Information Or Call Me @ 720-771-5594 Search More Denver and Boulder County Homes For Sale   If you or someone you know is interested in buying or selling a home in Boulder County or anyw...

Boulder Colorado Pearl Street Mall Musicians… I was in the Boulder Pearl Street Mall this weekend giving some out of town visitors a mini-tour. Pearl Street has always had high quality street performers and musicians, but this weekend it seemed to have risen to a whole new level. Two groups of the many performers played like professionals. First, there were two teenage boys that played the violin like I have never seen or heard before. They were completely confident and had absolute control over their instruments. They played one classical piece after another with ease. The two had just been admitted to Juilliard and were raising funds for tuition. The other group was from Nashville Tennessee. They had a off-beat look and sound. I don’t think they would be accepted at Juilliard, but the...
