When is the best time to buy a home? ... Probably yesterday!I've heard people say they are waiting to buy a house.  Their reasons for doing so are varied.  Some may not have enough for a down payment yet or are working on their credit. Then there are those who tell me that they are waiting for prices to come down.  They say things like "prices can't keep going up."  Of course they CAN keep going up.  Even if they stop going up it doesn't mean they will go down anytime soon. Prices could level out for a while.  Experts are predicting another year of rising prices for 2022 just not as much as the previous couple of years.  I've seen predictions of more "normal" appreciation in the 2-5% range. Some people say you shouldn't try to sell your home during the holidays.  I think it's a great time to put your home on the market.  There's usually less competition (because some people think you shouldn't list during the holidays).  Fewer houses on the market and still lots of buyers looking in my part of the word is a good combination for a seller. How Many People Have Been Checking You Out?So I have been absent from AR for a couple of days.  I guess it was a busy weekend.  So today I saw a post from Kathy Streib from Friday.  Of course the title caught my eye,  Friday Fun ... Who Was Your First.  Be sure to check it out.  She always has great posts.So I checked out who my first was.  Turns out my first post was 11.20.2007 and it was even entitled "My very first ever blog Post"  It wasn't great, it was just basically an introduction from me to the AR world.  The first person to comment on any of my blog posts was on that post and it was Thomas Weiss.  Unfortunately it turns out he hasn't been active here on AR since December of 2007.    I did receive a total of 8 comments on that post.  I thought that was pretty big time back then...

Fall is settling in here in Stanislaus County.  Today is forecast to be the last 90° day for a while.   We are seeing a few leaves starting to turn color and hunt for pumpkins should be starting soon!Of course you can purchase pumpkins at any supermarket and many big box stores.  But where's the fun in that.  There are several places in and around Stanislaus County where you can pick up your pumpkin along with other fresh produce, pumpkin pies and other baked goods.  There are also a few corn and hay mazes in the area where you can also pick up your pumpkins.  There's even a few places where you can shoot mini pumpkins at targets.  Those mini pumpkins aren't very aerodynamic and don't fly straight but it's still lots of fun.  Below are some places to check out in and around Stanislaus C...
