Does Your Bathroom Need a Quick Fix Without Draining Your Bank Account   This room had brown handles added to the cabinets and some brown accessories like the elephant clock and brown candlesticks. Below add some initial towels and flowers.   Remodeling your home can be prohibitively expensive but there are a few things you can do to make your bathroom look fresh and inviting for guests. Theme: Select a theme that is comfortable in the rest of your home; Shells, Ferns, Flowers, Abstract Colors, Nature. Perhaps this is the place to start by shopping for a new shower curtain and then buying linens, pictures, and paint to coordinate.  A New Coat of Paint: I prefer comfortable earth-tone colors as it makes it be more relaxing and fresh looking. Go to your local home improvement store and br...

Here are Few of My Favorite Spring Things Spring is such a fantastic time for us as the winter snow and cool weather fades and the warmth of the sun stimulates the growth of the plants, trees and flowers.  The birds who have migrated for the winter are now returning and every morning I hear the joyful sounds of birds chirping when I wake up. It had been a very quiet winter. I love to see the ducks with their ducklings reminding us that spring is here.  Also love bees buzzing around, ladybugs landing on plants and lizards out basking in the sun and eating spiders.   Some across the nation have had a very extemely cold winter but have faith that the snow will melt soon and your flowers and trees will bloom and the birds will be arriving and chattering in the early  mornings. Such a won...

It's Raining and I Cannot Go Outside California is on storm watch and the rain this weekend has been pretty steady. My two dogs are sad that they cannot go outside and play in the rain. So since they could not go outside, they just snuggled up and took naps. We are experiencing a drought in California so I am so grateful for the rain this weekend. It is pouring right now! Keep up those "Raindances" as we need more rain. Thanks for Reading my Blog California is a dream-come-true state no matter what your needs or wants are. Buyers Home Financing Trends in 2013                         CAR-California Association of Realtors just published this poster. It is reflective of the constant track of the loans in California for the past year. Most buyers go Convential, obtain a 30 year Loan put down 25% or more and most loans are of fixed rate.  My Pictures of Washington D.C and The History of President's Day     Presidents’ Day is a US national holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February. This date was originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington and is still officially called “Washington’s Birthday” by the federal government.   Traditionally celebrated on February 22—Washington’s actual day of birth—the holiday became popularly known as Presidents’ Day after it was moved as part of 1971’s Uniform Monday Holiday Act, an attempt to create more three-day weekends for the nation’s workers. Many states still celebrate the birthdays of Washington, Abraham Lincoln and others, Presidents’ Day is now seen as a day to celebrate all U.S. presidents past and present.Washington D.C. is an amazing pl...

Short Sale I Closed Was a Wonderful Couple I Loved to Help #2 I a few years ago, I met a wonderful couple who moved next door to one of my relatives. When I met them, I just thought they were the cutest and sweetest couple. We were at the top of the market just before the collapse so they paid a lot for their home and did a 80/20 loan. Over the next few years, they had a couple of kids and contacted me when they were expecting their third. They asked if i could help them sell their home. It was pretty easy as both loans were Bank of America so I thought "piece of cake" since I have had great luck with B of A's 80/20 loans in the past. Unfortunately the 1st was bought out by a new player in the market but they responded to the demands and were negotiating. Of course the 2nd was too and w...

Did You Know there is a Color of the Year for 2014....Color me Happy       Silly me...I did not know there was a color of the year. But I love the color orchid or lavender and find myself taking pictures of anything this color.       According to the Pantone Color Institute Website, the Pantone Color Institute has been designating a Color of the Year to express in color what is taking place in the global zeitgeist since 2000. This year, 2014, they have chosen the color "Radiant Orchid".   ©My New Favorite Color IS Radiant Orchid©  California is a dream-come-true state no matter what your needs or wants are. Today is National Pie Day so Have a Slice Today is National Pie Day so Have a Slice   Did you know that today was National Pie Day? Did you know that there is a National Pie Council? I did not know this until I saw it on the news this morning! But I thought this was national news and so I should blog about it. While doing my research, I found out there is 231 different types of "Apple Pie" and this is the "Number 1" favorite pie. Number 2 favorite is "Pumpkin Pie" which is known as a holiday pie and especially on Thanksgiving since the pilgrims made them. Know what the #3 Favorite pie is? Pecan Pie!   I am not sure where Cherry Pie comes in but it is my favorite and then Lemon Meringue. I used to make them from scratch for the holidays but sadly I know go to one of the big box stores an...

A  Photo From Roy Kelley Made a Beautiful Framed Print A Photo From Roy Kelley Made a Beautiful Framed Print   I recently moved and spent weeks purging household items for a huge 5 bed/4bath 2 story home so I ended up with an entire room full of pictures and wall hangings. Took the ones I really wanted and donated most of the rest to the thrift store.   Since I moved to the foothills in the winter, i found this beautiful comforter and sheet set with leaves and pine cones on it for one of my daughter's bedroom. I had thought about an owl framed print or pine cones on a tree would be nice....hmm but not sure. I took a few pictures but then one morning Roy Kelley posted the perfect picture on ActiveRain. The colors were just right and the pine cone was beautiful. When I saw it, I knew it w...

Hawk in My Backyard Hunting There he was just sitting there having breakfast. Luckily my little chihuahua was inside.  As you can see there, there are a lot of white feathers there so I think he got a pigeon and sat down to eat. I think Raptor birds are so beautiful and I love to watch them in nature but I hate to see a poor little bird or gopher swept up in their talons. Hawks have great eyesight and are amazing hunters. I love to see them flying in the wind as they just coast for hours and I am sure they are probably looking for something down below to take back to their nest as well.   Thanks for Reading My Blog    Kristin Hamilton BRE #01492138 Keller Williams Realty –WCR Member– I am a full time agent and deal in all types of real estate transactions. How to Avoid Wildlife Collisions Large wildlife animals can be very dangerous to walkers, bicyclists and drivers. If you come upon them on the road, STAY IN YOUR CAR, drive defensively and let them have the road to pass. If they hit your car, call 9-11 but stay in your car as they may come back while you are outside observing the damage to your vehicle.   Depending on your area, you can be at risk of deer, elk, cows, horses, sheep, mountain lions, and bears running across the roads.   Many times if you slow down or stop to give them some room, they will meander off for some tasty food or to meet up with the rest of the group. Honk your horn or flash your lights if possible and it may scare them off.   Wildlife crossing highways can cause a lot of damage all across the nation to drivers...
