Flood Maps Revised for Solano County Effective June 9th

Hello Everyone, Your Vallejo Realtor sharing Vallejo Real Estate information, The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has issued revised Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) for the Vallejo area in Solano County that became effective on Monday, June 9, 2014. These maps show areas that are considered to be in a floodplain, and therefore may require homeowners to obtain flood insurance. Flood zone disclosure is a statutory requirement in California real estate transactions. Approximately 310 parcels that were not formerly in a 100-year flood zone were drawn into this high-risk flood zone after the maps became effective.
