Stockton California was once famous for mineral baths. To look today one would never guess that these baths were large venues and people used to flock to them. The people came because the mineral water was thought to be of medicinal nature. Stockton California was once famous for mineral baths the first being the Weber Baths built around 1883. The Weber Baths had a large swimming tank, what we call a swimming pool today. The abundance of gas in the ground would push the underground warm waters up into the system that filled the pools. The pressure kept a constant flow of mineral water containing iron, sulphur, magnesium, soda and salt flowing into the swimming tank.
