De Anza Cove Mobile Home Park, which occupies 76 acres of the 120 total prime waterfront acreage situated on the North-East end of San Diego’s Mission Bay has gone from a bustling mobile home park, to ghost town while this year. Airplanes Have Crews, Yachts Have Crews, Building Contractors Have Crews but..........  This weekend San Diego will have hundreds of crews competing in the San Diego Crew Classic. Mission Bay will be crowded with spectators of all ages as over 100 races take place in the 40th Annual Crew Classic. This crew classic is one of the premier events, known world wide.  Some of the well known Collegiate Crews attending will be coming from Washington, Penn, Princeton, University of Virginia,CAL, UCSD, USC and various local crews from San Diego. San Diego has so much to offer.  The weather is usually the first win that comes to mind.  After that the beaches and the proximity to Mexico are big wins.  The tourist attractions such as Sea World, the Gas Lamp District, Lego Land, the Coronado Bridge and Balboa Park are amazing too. For me the beaches and downtown have always had the most draw. The beauty of the many beaches and the fun of downtown have so much to offer.  I'm starting to appreciate the canyons too.  The beaches offer swimming, surfing, water sports and sun.  Just hanging out under an umbrella with a good book, fish tacos and a drink with just the right mixture of fruit juice and rum is paradise for me.  I don't tan.  Lily white or lobster red are my only color palettes.  A well known Swimming Instructor in San Diego... 03/27/2013

Americas Springtime Premier Regatta  The photo above is taken at one of the starting points behind Seaworld Nearly 4000 collegiate, junior and master athletes from the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe are coming to San Diego this weekend to compete in this years annual crew rowing event. The Crew Classic has long been the marquee regatta for rowing and was established in 1973. For many of these crews, the Crew Classic is the highlight of their competitive rowing careers and a competition for future Olympians, as well as for those new to the sport.
